What qualifies you to disagree with me? You don't wear a hair system, nor do you install them on the heads of others. Watching some videos on YouTube does not make you an expert.

This guy is also not an expert. He just vlogs his limited experiences... and he is talking about anecdotal observations with one company.

So, please stop already.
Just because I don't wear doesn't mean you should discount my years of research and studying systems and reading in endless forums in anticipation for possibly wearing one day. Also, regardless if he is only giving his experience from himself, the guy has ordered hundreds of systems over the years and complains about the same thing from Lordhair ALL the time. Sure maybe not all systems are made in a way that would create this problem, and sure maybe most if not all you have seen are made with nose to spine hair, but I'm just saying, it's absolutely possible and is a thing.

You take a bit too much offense at times and have one hell of a subtle if not snarky attitude with some people on here, let me tell you. I've noticed it in other posts, as have others. Just a few hours ago I saw you felt the need to pretend this was a social justice forum by feeling the need to tell a guy who clearly was asking me about the topic of women finding out about men wearing systems - "don't assume all partners of hair system wears are women!" Really? Get a grip and check yourself, please. This coming from a generally liberal person.

Wtf are you talking about :D:D?! A strip of hair from the back in front of the hairline. What is that?
For the last time I'll try and explain...

Some guys, who have a small region of frontal hair loss, will buy a system and cut it up into a few pieces to use for their said small region of frontal hair loss.

You are making blanket statements without having neither the experience nor the knowledge to back them up. Playing Flight Simulator does not make you a pilot. Some folks may see through it, others may not, and might actually take what you say as fact. You are certainly not the first person on here to do it, and sadly won't be the last.

I spend hundreds of hours on here consulting with dozens of people answering questions, both publicly and privately, when I don't know the answer to something I try and find out. When I am wrong, I admit to it.

As for your other comment about the other post... you are the one who needs to lighten up, it was a joke.

Jake kent is a moron. He wore his aweful looking system for minimal time, and believes he's an expert, plugging coupon codes for kickbacks.

I'm not a hater, by nature, but I completely disagree with him in nearly all aspects. Eliminate the stigma of hair systems? I for one, don't want my hair system to be acceptable or on display mainstream, I don't want it to be a point of topic. All hes doing is bringing more spotlight to something most would prefer to keep private. No women are going around bragging about their augmented breasts pointing out how fake they are. This guy not only gives bad advice he also has one of the worst looking systems I've ever seen. His efforts are only going to result in people being more aware of hair systems... aka being more observant and able to call someone out....and he is also doing his best to increase prices as it become more popularised. Either way it's a negative for people wearing. I've been wearing for approximately 2 and a 1/2 years and I've seen ultra hold adhesive go from $7 to $12 as well as most products in a similar fashion. I am not a cheap person I would be willing to pay $50 if people just kept their mouth shut.
I genuinely wish he would go away. Not only does he give bad advice and draws attention to a underground community, he also bastardises the English language like I've never seen before, in attempt to appear intelligent....which results in complete opposition of his goal to anyone with an IQ above 100. This guy does half his videos with his shirt off and looks like a fool. It wouldn't be OK if he was chiselled like a Greek god either... but it's comical that hes chubby buff and thinks hes someone of visual appeal. JAKE KENT, GO AWAY! YOU ARE OF NO VALUE!

I get your point but thats a little harsh. I feel bad for him when I watch his videos, I don't know why, but he just seems so depressed in so many ways. I feel like his videos about acceptance are more for himself than his viewers, but yeah he has sported some pieces that should be a crime against humanity- he will get a good one done by a stylist and hate it , then go back to an awful one and love it. Him and that guy "Michael Joseph" who literally looks like a troll doll and says "I dont want it to look realistic, im trying to stand out". Every time I watch Michael Josephs videos I scroll to the comments of people trying to help him by telling him how bad it looks and he literally replies with stuff like this "Too dense, straight, and ridiculous for YOU ". Kill me.

I disagree. I've been watching "stickonHair" on Youtube for years and he does this. He always complains that when he gets to the back of his hair system the hair goes in all sorts of different directions. He attributes this to lazy knotters/V-loopers once they get towards the back of the system.

He gets all his systems from Lordhair. Poly and Lace
I agree with your sentiments on using the back for a front hairline. The knots are often double knotted and would not look good for a front. The front and middle portions would be fine though. Some suppliers offer square rectangles that you can use to cut it to your front partial size and are knotted and ventilated accordingly.

Not trying to pick on him, but my point stands. Facts don't care about feelings....and the fact is this guy is a world of negative to hairsystems. If he's depressed, he's created a ton of reason's to be that way. He should go away.

Way too harsh, and this is coming from someone who is also not a Jake Kent fan anymore. You bring up a point about not wanting hair systems to be brought into the spotlight more or to become mainstream. I disagree on that one bc I would very much like to live in a world where if a day ever came and I had to tell a girlfriend that I wore hair she'd be much more accepting than let's say she'd be now. There IS still a negative stigma about these things. That's just reality. There may always be one, too, but you don't think cutting that down would do a lot of men good in the long run? For example I personally never would have considered wearing a "toupee" or system if it weren't for Curtis on YouTube. Some of these guys help, but I do agree that many don't. I cringe everytime I see a guy going on camera with an awful system, as that only does the opposite effect of what we're looking for. The guy Michael Joseph - nicest guy there is, but any level headed human being knows that whatever he has on his head is the most ridiculous looking thing there is.

Also with regards to prices going up, I'm curious- is $67 normal for a damn 5 ounce bottle of Ghost Bond Platinum??

Too harsh? Facts do not care about your feelings. Why are you trying to label a factual statement as personal?

No one's advocating for dishonesty with girlfriends or spouses. That is on you. The onus is yours alone to be forthright with a loved one, if you choose to. That is not what I was referring to at all. Quite obviously I was referring to generalized and public . Everyone has the option to conceal or display their hairsysyem as fake. You have always had that right. You do not need Kent to give you permission or to tell people,on your behalf. When you make something mainstream, where everyone knows about it, those that wish to keep it hush hush are having that right taken away. That is creating a problem, not providing a solution.

Again, I don't understand why people feel the need to dilute facts with personal comments. Michael Joseph looks like a clown troll. Saying hes a great guy does not change that fact. Watching a few videos does not tell what kind of person he is.

Bill Cosby was America's father, one of the most beloved family men in the country. Meanwhile he was a predator and rapist the whole time.

Michael Joseph and Kent may very well be good guys. However, all successful crooks come across as genuine..... Otherwise they wouldn't be successful as crooks. Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't walking the streets with a knife in his hand screaming obscenities. He was a well liked charismatic person, thats why he was able to do what he did.

Point being, keep unsubstantiated, irrelevant opinions out of it... and stick to fact.

Prices across-the-board have gone up about 70% for supplies. The reason they were so cheap, for so long, is because it was a pursed lip small market. Quiet and in control.

I agree that Curtis is a positive force in the industry. However, Kent is detrimental and I wish he would go away.

Ps.....The word is regard....There's no plural form......

Dude im not a fan of jake kent either but to say its a FACT he's a world of negatives sounds more like an opinion.. maybe a popular opinion here but still an opinion nonetheless. You keep telling people your opinions are facts and they "dont care about your feelings".

Dude? Quite obviously you're on the same level as Kent, intelligence wise. Would you like to get into particulars, regarding fact? I assumed you had a modicum of intelligence and would know what I'm referring to. How else would you arrive at the conclusion that you're not a fan? Was that decision not based on anything factual... it was just a feeling you have? It appears your level of comprehension is lacking too...So, I'm happy to clarify.....

Let's start off with his advice to wash systems in apple cider vinegar. Is it fact or opinion... that something ridiculously over processed such as wig hair would benefit from cleaning it with an acid? Would it be damaging and detrimental?

How many times has he commented about knots on a thin skin Poly? Is it fact or opinion... that V loop thin skin systems do not have one knot on the entire system?

Fact or opinion... those false statements and pieces of bad advice are helpful and constructive? Are they negative, and damaging?

What specifically did I claim as fact, when I made a general statement? I made a statement expressing my opinion that he is detrimental, damaging, and negative... quite obviously, unlike yourself, I arrived at this opinion based on facts I've personally seen..... Overall, when weighing everything he's said, it's undisputable that he is a world of negative. Claiming someone is a good person can never be static fact, it will always be an opinion at a particular time. False information and mistruths can never be an opinion.... Rain will never cease to be wet. You are aware the definition of fact is provable, right? Perhaps a dictionary would benefit you most.

Were you under the impression that the outcome dictates the narrative?...... It's quite the opposite Einstein...

The fact is......countless negatives will never create a positive...

Shall we continue, or are you getting the point? Dude

The reality is that jake Kent wore for a few weeks and then started his channel. He's been wearing for about a year now? With many, many issues during that time.

I don't mind chronicling one's adventures in hair wearing. But talking as if you are an expert when the comment section is screaming about your beiber cut just does the community no favours.

Trying to come across as intelligent, how? Typed words on a screen cannot demonstrate intelligence. They can only demonstrate education with regard to chosen words, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure. If you'd like to compare education, Intelligence quotient, or career, l'm happy to oblige; however, they're of no relevance in this situation. I've been forthright, clear, and concise. I've provided specific examples to substantiate my statement. You make untrue statements, pulled from thin air, and make assumptions....drastically false assumptions. Then resort to middle school names as you run away with your tail tucked...

I genuinely believe a dictionary would solve many of your problems. I'll mail you one on my dime. What is your lot number?

The fact is:
You are an ignorant simpleton.

Why would the price of glues go up?!
For reasons I have stated. The more popular something becomes... the more the demand grows... the more you can command for the product. This doesn't only apply to adhesives, pretty much all supplies in the hair system industry have gone up significantly.

Its simple economics.

This is why I have a serious disdain for J Kent. He not only gives bad advice and demonstrates how to fail at achieving a realistic results. Him attempting to make this main stream is a driving force in these increases....

Why do you think or lord hair and la livid are paying him to give away discounts?

He brings more customers... then when they don't need him anymore... prices will go up...true discounts disappear and he can kick rocks. Again, he is hurting the community not helping.....

This is how many companies have overtaken... Toyota... Budweiser...and countless others.
