Looks the same to me. He's had that lone island in the hairline for the past couple of years.

The first pics look awful because his hair is wet and the island separation is more clear. When dry, he just combs his hair forward like he's been doing it for the last 15 years, of course it has become more difficult for him in the last couple of years to hide his baldness

He should just get a transplant and fix his hairline, it's not that difficult.
Maybe it's not in his future plans? He has at best 10 more years of youngish looks, maybe he is just trying to age gracefully

the guy is 38 years old

he isnt bald, if he wasnt a movie star nobody in the world would consider him a 'bald guy'

slowly losing your hair from the age of 20, to being completely bald at 60 isnt what i would call a problem

I agree, it hasn't progressed much. Wet hair is very unforgiving to thin spots

Whatever, he still looks better than most. F*ck the Daily Mail and their looks fascism.

It does look like it's gotten worse. In the movies it doesn't look as advanced. But he's maintained pretty well considering he's been losing his hair for so long. It might be time to go sly.

I dont think Jude could pull off the 'sly' look very well.
BTW the other UK papers have picked up on this story today.

Maybe not but he should give it a shot. He's a handsome guy so he might still look good without hair. Either that or look into a transplant b/c this Norwood 4A is not a good look.

Yeah but he's shooting back to back movies and getting paid million$. The movie studios want the Jude that they know when they hire him. If he's playing some romantic lead character he cant suddenly turn up with a skinhead. Also that look would severly limit what characters he could play.
Vin Diesel and Jason Statham dont exactly play a wide range do they?
And with a hair transplant he'd have to take months off and hope he does'nt get caught out like Gordon Ramsey.
Look at what the press have done just because he's on the beach looking balding imagine if they had a hair transplant story, they'd probably put it on the front page! :shakehead:

Yeh he's balder than I thought, but really... he's never going to have to worry about getting chicks is he... because he's Jude freaking Law.

I think having strong hair in the movies is less important than it used to be. All of the cast of Lord of the Rings allegedly wore wigs, or at least some sort of hairpiece. I didn't really think about it until I read an interview with one of the cast who pointed it out.

What you just said makes no sense!
If all the cast had to wear wigs surely that means they only want people on screen with great heads of hair. But since LOTR was based in fantasy not real world characters its not very relavant.

Ps a wig is probably Judes best option but if he wore it off set he'd get slated for that aswell.

It must be mega harsh losing your hair in the media spotlight.. man it's hard enough when you're someone like me whose indoors so damn much hardly anyone even sees xD

Oh well :) Hopefully something like CB will be commercially available soon and then maybe nearly everyone will have great hair!

Here's hopin'!

Jude Law can definitely pull the sly look OK, his career can't

What is wrong with a hair transplant? it is way better than sporting a rug.
At least with a hair transplant people would talk about it for a month and drop the story when Lindsay goes to jail again.
Wearing a hair piece would just turn him into another Travolta or Nick Cage

Generally, people want to see great heads of hair on television. Even back in the 1950s and before this was the case. The top movie stars had thick dark brown or black hair that was grown out kind of long but then slicked back in a fashionable way.

Balding is only a slight handicap when it comes to getting women. Most people have crappy hair, even if they keep it all. It's only people with REALLY nice hair that get compliments like "Wow, you have such amazing hair!" The rest of the NW1 and NW0s in the world never hear that unless they have spectacularlly nice looking hair.

Hell, I've seen people make comments about how great someone's hair looked that was a clear NW3--but he had all his density, and grown out I guess it was attractive to the person that said it (kinda lame old thick hairstyle to me but whatever).

Jude Law has established his acting credentials and he's good looking genetically-speaking. I have two younger sisters that I heard comment "Wow, Jude Law is HOT" when they saw him on a television show where his baldness (to me) was VERY clear. They never mentioned it.

Yes, this is 100% true. I mean, I'm sure he isn't thinking "Wow, whatever" and he'd prefer to keep it, but a lot of men, if not most, just kind of shrug it off and go along with it.

i remember reading an article about how they had to thin his hair for his role in Road to Perdition. I remember thinking that he had to be pretty comfortable with himself to do that. I'm too vain to do something like that! if i were going to be in a movie i'd require a hair piece or some kind of concealer. He seems cool with it.

The reason that women find Jude Law attractive is because he's already famous.

Jude Law became famous before he was bald.

Trust me, (speaking as someone trying to break into the acting biz) it's pretty important that you have a good head of hair to be cast in a leading role. It doesn't matter NEARLY as much once you become established

(EG: Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jude Law, Patrick Stewart)

Patrick Stewart was bald when he made it big and Statham was well along the way.

It depends what role you're going for. Stathams not really an actor he's just a tough guy characature. Willis went through a few years of wearing hairpieces in movies when he got beyond NW3. And Stewart, well he always played old men.
