went from about 4 inches to 1/8 inch.

what a shock.

good news: it almost kinda suits me. head shape is better than a thought. crown area thinning is barely noticable

bad news: now you can see my hairline for what it really is. :freaked2:

Im so sick and frustrated by my hair. its consumed my every waking thought since september last year and its really starting to affect my life in stupid ways. i'm late for work a lot, a decide not to go out when i really should, i cant even go and buy cigarettes without checking my head from 50 different angles.

and today i decided i'd had enough.

so off it went.

not happy, but at least now theres nothing i can do about it so ill not take so long getting ready in the morning.

also i can use nizoral 3x a week without my hair going to crap.

one weird thing thats *really* pissed me off; there a 'hole' in a random position on my crown. its very obvious. its been there for years but it used to just sprout grey hairs. now it looks like those greys have died and its pretty much a bald spot. about the size of a 5p piece (uk). if it wasnt for that, itd be perfect.

tips for buzzers; dont go any longer than 1/8" (Grade 1). it looks like crap. its all the way or nothing! especially if you have very dark hair like me!

Good for you.

Thats one reason why I buzz my hair. I am done with hiding it. Much easier to just roll with what you have.

Absolutely liberating.

thanks cassin, and yeah you're right. It is very liberating!! ahh, i feel like a great weight as been lifted. its such a great feeling! i just wish i didnt have that odd little spot thing, I would be 100% happy with it then. might try a little concealer in that spot. maybe not :)

Itsonlyinmyhead: yes, I will post some before/after pics maybe tomorrow. i took some at Grade 4 before I went to Grade 1 as well, just to show the improvement it makes in thinning areas.

good luck flim flam, i think if u are somehwat pleased with it now, then in a few weeks u will really start to liek it. I know form the past that doing something radical like a new haircut seems to take a few days to get used to

let me know whatu think about it after u and your friends have gotten used to it, hopefully its a good look for u, then it makes losing your hair not as big of a deal

pics

flimflam please post those pics when you can. In fact anyone who has before and after pics please post them to this thread. I am really curious to see how a buzz cut looks on someone who is thinning.

way to go man..

i'm also keeping my head at 1/8th inch..

i went from long slick backed hair... looked awesome, to this.. shaved head style. my head looks fine shape-wise.. so i like it.

plus chicks seem to dig it.. they rub my head and i think they get off on it somehow hahaha..

but yeah, go with it... i have a thin crown too and the 1/8th seems to hide it nicely, and i also have a little bald spot too.. random side of my crown.

life is a b**ch just roll with it.

wouldnt need much.

yah well done for buzzing.

I reckon there should be a thread where all the buzzers post their pics.

seriously, what's the deal with chicks and their need to rub bald/buzzed heads? a mate of mine who is what you'd call a diffuse thinner, buzzed his head a few weeks ago and girls are all over him.
