Wow there's a lot of dicks on this thread crying about donating a couple hundred bucks that will at least bring back some updates on new tech. I would donate too but my funds are a little tight at the moment after dropping 6K last summer, along with a few others here, to determine that Kerastem was bullshit. Basically I'm saying donate or don't, but don't flatter yourself with dropping a hundred bucks.

Given that you contributed $6,000 to the cause I understand a little how you feel. But I think we should be thankful for any donation by someone. At least those people try to help. I think the trash are the mooches who won't donate anything but they will read the HLC information when Hellouser brings it back.

Here's the worse moocher of them all. He calls himself Thomps1523. He posts how Admin isn't contributing enough even though Admin had donated $150 by that time and Thomps1523 hadn't donated anything at all. And still hasn't. Thomps1523 said that Admin's $150 donation is not a "decent" amount. What a sleazy mooch.

Thomps1523 said:
I'm actually surprised admin isn't making a decent donation considering the content produced will actually be helping him financially in the form of driving traffic...

Have you gotten your $200 refunded to you?

If someone is trying to mooch I should be allowed to call the person on it. I agree that a person has the right to try to mooch but I should also have the right to speak my mind and point out that the person is trying to mooch. Why should only the moocher have rights? Why shouldn't the person being mooched on have the right to call the moocher what he is? Why should the moocher be shielded from the truth that he is mooching?

Let him mooch but also let me tell him that he's mooching.

Nameless, is one of the reasons you're harping on this because you like writing the word "mooch"? It is, right?

To be honest I had no interest in whatever happens at this conference, but having read so much about mooching I think I'll have to mooch it.

I heard the Japanese don't let foreigners in their titty bars. Can anybody confirm this? Can't blame them for keeping their goods to themselves.

I'm not going to try to get my credit card to refund the charge. I think Hellouser will do a good job getting the info.
It might be quicker then trying to get a V.I.P. donar system for the conference going....

What the actual f*** is wrong with some people, bragging about donations but demanding special treatment at the same time. It's a donation ffs, if you want to support the idea, do it, if not don't. But stop demanding. You have no right to do so. @nameless

Why shouldn't I have the right to make my feelings known?

WTF is wrong with YOU? I guess you live in Russia where the citizens are slaves to their leaders.

I live in America - the land of the free. In America we DO have the right to make demands.

And I didn't brag about making a donation. I simply stated that I made a donation. It was not intended as bragging, which is also something I have a right to do in America.

Now go home and kiss Putin's ring

I'm not from the US neither am I from Russia, but you just proved your idiocy again :D

Please, how I can donate some bucks? Where is the link?
TIA

I think this link will let you donate:

https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/news/conferences/send-hellouser-10th-world-congress-japan/

But you're a fool if you donate. If you don't donate you will still get to see the information just the same as the people who do donate. That's why many people aren't donating. They know that if they don't donate then other people will donate more to make up for the people who don't donate. The smartest thing for you to do is to not donate because other people will make up the difference. Why pay for something if you can have it for free? Why let other people ride your back?

Again, you're obviously donating for the wrong reasons, if you're so concerned about keeping the data classified why don't you find your own trip and do it all yourself?

Can't afford that? Well then stfu and let the forum have access to what they want, if you're not putting up at least 51% of what this trip costs your voice Has no more authority than any other who donated.

My view is that the wealthier, more financially stable members of the forum should donate. We get a lot from this forum, so it's morally right to give back somehow. The extra material will definitely boost traffic here and inform the general membership. It's good for community and awareness. We also know that Hellouser has a positive track record.

However, there should be no grandstanding either way. There is idiocy to be found among both the naysayers and the self-righteous. It's a bad policy to dump on people not donating, the fact is that if they're completely insane they will be swayed by Hellouser's contents. If they are insane, then it doesn't matter.

Finally, if I were still a poor graduate student making ~$22,000/year, I would be donating far less or not at all.

If a student makes $22,000 per year then based on decency alone he/she should still donate $20 but that is if you base whether or not to donate on decency - doing what's right. On the other hand, if your decision whether or not do donate is based on doing what's smartest (from this point forward) only fools will donate because even if you don't donate you still get the same benefit as the people who do donate. In fact, if you don't donate you will get to see all of the HLC information at the same time as the people who do donate. And if you don't donate someone else will put up the money to make up for you not donating. The smart play is to just let other people donate more money rather than you donating your own money. Why pay for something if you can have it for free? The smart play is to let other people pay the money you would have paid if you had donated - ride other people's backs.
