Hello everyone. New to the forum here. I’m 48 years old and a NW2. I’ve been faithfully taking Propecia and using Rogaine for 16 years nonstop after first noticing hair loss in my early 30s (dad/grandfathers all NW6s). It has stopped or at least greatly slowed down any further loss these past 16 years.
As I transition into an old man and go grey, I’ve been using Just for Men Autostop hair coloring the past few years. The comb to apply the Autostop is harsh and really tears at the hairs, especially at the hairline and temples where I’m most grey. Do you think this can cause loss in the temples? The comb for JFM Touch of Grey, as opposed to the Autostop, is much easier on the hairline so I may switch to that. I’ve also read that hair color chemicals can accelerate male pattern baldness in men. Any truth to that or just rumor? What hair color products do you guys use or recommend?
