i think i would look dumb with a shaved head, else i would definitely try it, just for the hell of it. but i am also worried about the "growing in" period, i've not seen my hair at lengths 0-1.5 inches in a LONG time, definitely not in the last three years where i think i probably started to thin a bit. i am envious of you.

I found my hair loss didn't stop bothering me until I shaved my head. I always thought I would look strange with a shaved head, but it turned out not to be true at all. I think it gave me a little peace of mind that I can be quite happy without a full head of hair.

On the other hand you could shave your head and look like a complete circus freak, destroying every last ounce of confidence you have left, leaving you nothing but a pathetic little balding man lying on the floor with nowhere to turn, so proceed with caution. javascript:emoticon('')

Recent Pic...

I took this one about 2 months back when I was Gilletting in December. I used the M-Power because it's vibration results in less dragging on the scalp and believe you me... YOU DO NOT WANT BLADE DRAGGING... It's one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the world. Anyways, I always shave with the grain to ensure that I don't get any bumps of irritation. Besides, the M-Power leaves a close enough shave with the grain...

Anybody can do it if they put their mind to it! Besides, after you are done you will forget about hairloss for as long as you maintain it shaved. I have a #5 clipper on top right now, but I am getting tempted to shave again due to all the combing and itching.

You have the perfect head for shaving, brah.

I had some compliments also, but mine was very dark and thick on the sides and very light and thin on top. It just did not look right after the 5:00 head shadow came in.

The "regrow" period was terrible. It took about 2 years to get back to the place I was at before I shaved it.

For anyone in that situation, I would seroiusly think about it before you take it off.

Sup X190 a i shave my head too, acutally i shaved it 20 min ago wit the mach 3 but i have a question are u diffuse thinning or have a receding hair line. sh*t u look just like me wit a bald head. What race are u , u look like puerto rican. Alright Lates

id do it (again) but unfortunately i have an egg shaped head... looks like sh*t but seriously you cant worry about hairloss once its shaved off... (ive done it many times in the past)

I also totally shaved my head. I have a good shape of head but the problem is that on the top of my head where is less hair the scalp is brighter there and it significantly shows my very bad horseshoe pattern.

I tried eyes shadows to hide it and it looked perfect but when you touch it, it comes off. I also tried to cover it by grey couvre and I perfectly matched the colour of the scalp where I am not balding but it surprised me how easilly you can take off the couvre by touching the scalp.

In my early stages of male pattern baldness I looked good with shaved head but these days I look bad. I do not know what to do, what to try, have you any suggestion, any products?? Does somebody have the same experience?

I am so depressed about this!

I am actually Cuban-American, and my hairloss consists of a thinning temple/hairline with some crown thinning that is controlled by Rogaine. Right now I have a #5 on the top and I am dieing to get either a bald fade or shave completely, but there are drawbacks about doing that. First of all, the hair only grows super fast 2 to 3 days after the shave, but then enters a slow-as-ever stage of growth that is super annoying and hard to deal with, since the head only looks good with a #5 or more, or completely bald.

The phase in between the growth looks bad, and shows your balding characteristics more vividly since the hairs in the balding region grow more slowly than the rest...
