Well I just ordered some dermatch after reading the rave reviews it has been getting from users on this board. I will be starting Propecia shortly but thought Dermatch would be good for covering up until the Propecia and Rogaine start working.

For those of you that have been using it...

I work out alot and sweat quite easily. Do I have to worry about it running down my face?

I have read that practice makes perfect...but any tips on applying it?

Thanks alot guys!

my girlfriend is a make up artist... and when she puts it on it looks flawless throughout the whole day! you just have to put it on right, and don't do a half fast job.

I just got derm a few weeks ago. I have light thinning in the back and also some in the front. I'm more concern with the back right now as the front isn't bad at all. I also started proscar 2-3 weeks back.

Anyway, I've been putting a tiny amount of derm in and it's been working like a champ. I guess you have to experiment with it, but I had good results on first try, perhaps because I only have light thinning. I don't use it every day, either. At work i don't really care too much about my hair. Maybe I should and I may incorporate it, especially if I shed due to proscar. But I went on a date over the weekend and was much more confident with derm. in my hair. I didn't mind walking in FRONT of my date. :)

Is it actually colouring your scalp. Is that how it works?

No, though it can if you push it down enough to touch your scalp. What I try to do now is to specifically NOT have the applicator touch my scalp. I did this yesterday and my hair still looked great. It just clings to existing hairs and thickens them up. I can't explain it anymore than that. But like everyone says, you need to have some hairs to thicken up. For me it worked great. I'll try to take some before and after pics this week.

That would be great. Could be useful to just thicken my hairline a bit.

Derm is more muddy as it's being applied - nothing to sprinkle. But I love it. Someone in another thread mentioned they had to put moose in to even up the color in their hair. I haven't found that to be the case, though I always put moose in regardless. But my hair has some light blonde highlights, though it's mostly brown. So my hair is multicolored to begin with, and I suspect no one will notice the derm. I do mix it in with most of my hair, as some suggested, but I'm going to experiment with that some more.
