He got a device that magnified my hair so he could see my follicles. This is sehat he said:
1. He said that those with a black dot in the middle were 'blocked' by DHT and not getting enough blood. He said he thought that about 75-85% of blood was getting through in my case.
2. He also got this device on the crown and he said there were some affected follicles here, and I may notice thinning when I am about 32-33, in 5 years time. BUT he said the major concern was my hairline. He said that follicles had the black dot up to an inch away from my hairline.
3. It may go quite rapidly in the next few years at my temples
4. But he DID also say that as most of the blood was getting through, that loss would be slow? I also pointed out that most of the loss had occurred age 18 - 19 and it hadn't really gone much since, so how could he say it would go quick?
5. On a positive he said that the follicles where there was no hair were still alive but dormant and that the laser treatment he was trying to sell me I would be a prime candidate for. I would need 6 months treatement and that would be it for life.
6. He said that DHT attached at the dermal papillaie. He then said that it was becuase the top of the hair follicle was blocked with DHT that no new hairs can break through the blocake. Surely this is rubbish?
7. Is laser therepy any good anyway?
8. Will those follicles affected by DHT up to now ALL die?
God, I am depressed.
