But why are you so sure that you're balding? I just checked one of your threads, you have no male pattern baldness family history (father and maternal grandfather have full head of hair?) and it's hard to tell if your hairline is receding or maturing. Get a scalp biopsy first.

My dad has a big bald spot in the crown area and has a receded hairline, but his 54 years old and I don’t know when he starting losing the hair , and he doesn’t give a f*** enough to know either . And just in my mind I always have bad luck with everything so I’m mentally getting prepared to start balding even tho I don’t know what’s gonna happen with my hair .

Lol, if he took Propecia he probably wouldn’t have that donut hole. I don’t have any sides from Propecia, you may or may not be different.

I don’t know why people go nuts. If you are losing your hair and you give a f***, then take meds...simple.

Propecia/Minoxidil/Nizoral and I add Stemoxydine that is good enough for me to keep what I have. If you want experiment with RU then replace that with Propecia.

Cheers, have a beer and relax man. It’s not like the dr told you were gonna die in 2 weeks

Yeah I understand that but when I hear about the side effects of these meds it makes me second guess taking them. Thing like gyno , ED, etc scare the f*** out of me

You have to consider the nocebo effect. When you expect from a drug to give you side effects, it's more likely that it will happen. So people who don't give a damn about side effects just take it and are fine, OR we can discuss about the possibility that studies about finasteride side effects were manipulated, but nobody can tell you if there' s some truth behind these conspiracy theories

It's kind of true. Of course it's possible to look good in your 30s, but it's not quite the same as looking good when you're in that 18–24 bracket. Having hair when you're young brings about so many possibilities. You're fresher when you're young, you're at your sexual peak and experiences are more stimulating. You get a bit older and you're expected to behave maturely and hang around with older people who typically have moved on in their lives and have a wife and kids etc.

I'm also in my late 20s and feel like I've wasted so much time. All I've been doing for the last five years (almost) is working with very little else. Ultimately I work because I want to have a great 30s. I know that will only be possible with hair, so that is why I spend so much on medications — the transplant will be next.

eh, i'm 42 and looking back I think my 30's were better than my 20;s because I was wiser...and people are living way longer and looking better longer, so 30's is still prime.

But taking medication means spending a sh*t load of money constantly that I do not have , and risking serious permanent side effects that will ruin life even more . In my mind it’s a lose situation either way . This life makes me fkn sick that all I gotta say
Yeah, but even if you do become impotent due to your Propecia usage, it's a catch-22 situation. You could potentially have great sex being bald, but how would you get the girls in the first place (the first hurdle)? If you've got a full head of hair you can get the girls in the first place, thereby completing the first hurdle — but fail the second. Which hurdle is more important to you? Personally I would say both, and at the end of the day finasteride only affects 2% of users in an adverse way. It's very unfortunate, but most men will be alright on it.

I think increasingly you are right. The other week I read an article about how the end of adolescence has changed from 18 to 24 (in the UK at least), and one could argue it's even older than that. Everything is happening later for people. That does give me a bit of comfort, as I feel the ultimate advantage of being in my 30s is more financial power which I haven't had for much of my 20s. I will also be able to live my 30s how I should have lived my 20s, with a good head of hair and feeling confident. I never plan on having kids because I don't want to pass on my shitty genes (not just because of hair loss either). I just want to be young forever.

the women are easy I just gotta have money to go to the brothel and I can f*** as many women as I want. But having permanent sexual problems for me is times worse than being bald . If it comes down to it I’ll get big and try and grow decent facial hair and I can move on .

Glad I'm not the only one. I hate the fact that you can't control it. I worked so hard to get in shape. In my mid 20s I was in a band and working out to improve myself. But in the span of a couple years I got tinnitus (which is crushing cause my college degree is in audio engineering, and that was my life), tendinitis, ripped a tendon in my finger (so now I can't play guitar anymore), and started losing my hair. It's been so terrible. I have given up in my life cause I know if I ever put work into anything again it will just fall apart at the last second due to something I can't control. I had a plan to commit suicide, but didn't because of my mother. So now I just kinda stand around and read tech books as I have to retrain career wise.
lifes a b**ch ... and then you die
