Hi all,

I'm 20 years old and I've been losing my hair for about 3 years. At the moment I'm going towards a NW3 as I am a NW2 at the moment. I've been very anxies to losing hair at the front. That's why I have a wide regime for the hairloss to stop there, but appearently it only gets worse and worse. I have still a lot of dandruff and nizoral doesn't make it all go away. I also have little to sometimes a lot off itch throughout the day. Also, when I go roughly through my hair it looks like it's "snowing white little dots". I do have lot's a vellus hairs everywhere that keep getting longer, but they grow so so slow. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and maybe some off you know.

My regime:

-Spironolactone 2% for 5 weeks
-Fluridil for almost 5 months, but it hasn't kept the hairs in the front.
-Fina 1mg for 3.5 months, lots of shedding at the front again :(
-Nizoral 3 times a week for 5 months
-Rozemarijn shampoo 3 times a week for 3 months
-Colostrum 2000mg for 3 months
-Beta Sitosteral 225mg for 3 months
-Lysine 1000mg for 3 months
-Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 for 3 months
-Green thee 300mg for 4 months
-Omega 3 fishoil 2000mg for 3 months
-P-5-P for 4 months

Addition regime in future:
-SOD (again inflammation)
-Zyrtec 10mg (against inflammation)

Help much appreciated.

What is the density of the hair that's left? If it's still thick, maybe you could do with just Finasteride and Nizoral?

The density is overall thick when I let my hair grow for 1 to 2 months once I have had a haircut to 1cm. But the front is what concerns me the most. The overall density is very good.

Anyone else has some ideas?

To be honest I dont know what alot of those things are aimed at that you mentioned in your regimen so I wont respond to those. However, you might try perhaps a finasteride/nizoral/folligen spray+cream combo or another simpler combo of your choosing and letting it take course for 8-12 months to see its true potential. It seems you got a pretty big pile of stuff you are throwing at your hair/scalp and all of that in cobination might not be doing any good.

Just my opinion though, I am not a doctor and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express lastnight

They all work in a different way and I think they are very helpfull as lysine increases fina' effectivenes, colostrum fights inflammation, ginko stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, beta sit. stimulates regrow, P-5-P and fishoil and green thee reduce DHT in the scalp and reduce Type I 5AR. The rest speaks for itselfs. Maybe it's just fina causes the frontal shed?

Almost 5 months on my regime now and still lots of receeding/frontall loss. I'm getting really angry with fina since the the mess started with fina. One thing I noticed is that fina is giving me an itch right after I take it. I don't know if I should give up fina since there has been 5 months of horror :(

5 months is way to early to quit and it is not unusual to still be shedding at this point. Stick with it man.

Looking at your first post you are taking alot of drugs along with two topicals which can be harsh on the scalp...and if the scalp is unhealthy, regrowth is hard to come by. I would think about dropping spironolactone as you are already taking finasteride, or drop the other topical...looks like overkill on your scalp.

If you don't like either of those suggestions you could think about adding copper peptides but really i feel you should be subtracting from your regimen not adding to it.

Ah ok thanks for the answer. I already dropped spironolactone and nizoral, nizoral only for a month and see it the itch gets any les with T/Gel. I also think your right about throwing to much stuff at my scalp so I use Folligen a couple of times a week to get my scalp in better condition. I sure hope the 5 months receeding, shedding wil stop soon :(
