Yes Kirkland supplier did stop producing it's liquid brand, as well as Equate (Walmarts brand) and Target (w.e it was called).

They were all made by the same manufacturer that made Kirkland and they all switched to foam consequently.
Thanks for the heads up. I don't see the point of discontinuing a product that is used by, what, millions of men worldwide? Oh well, maybe they'll change their mind sometime.

I tried searching for a news article that could provide the definitive answer as well but all I found was this picture of the Kirkland manufacturer:

I very highly doubt that manufacturers have stopped producing liquid. Even Rogaine still produces liquid version. They're probably just heavily pushing the new product in favor of the old because obviously the profit margin is going to be higher.

It seems that the Kirkland Minoxidil liquid was made in Canada, as it says on the box. And the foam is made in Israel. So maybe that's why they switched and changed their manufacturing plants location to maximize profits.

I still have a 4 month supply of the liquid left, would it be a good idea to apply the liquid in the morning and than the foam at night(or vice versa) for a more gradual transition to the foam?

Thanks.

The only difference in minoxidil to me is the difference between foam and liquid. Liquid seems to be more effective, and foam more convenient. Brand doesn't seem to matter.

This is all for me of course, but its an example for you.

There's more of a difference to me between Kirklands Minoxidil and Rogaine foam.

Kirklands minoxidil solution has propylene glycol and Rogaine foam doesn't. Kirklands makes my scalp itch and Rogaine doesn't.

The majority of people say the two are the exact same thing with only foam and liquid being the difference, but that's just false. They're not the same. Rogaine foam does not have PG.

Hi.

Wah!

Foam now eh?

But still the reputation of Rogaine foam are strong.

If wish to start using minoxidil again, Rogaine foam it is.
Kirkland...even liquids are not for me.

Foam fits my scalp.
3 months can see result.

After being off the shelves and scare for awhile Kirkland Liquid is back in stock and less than half the cost of the foam. Packaging has new look & my local Costco was fully stocked.

Checked my usual supplier by just googling minoxidil uk and its still available.

I have been using minoxidil (rogain) foam and kirkland liquid minoxidil, obviously foam is quicker to dry/easier to add and it makes the hair 20-30% thicker in seconds or makes hair... hair! but id have to say since I added liquid kirkland liquid in evenings, I did notice improved hair growth in my hair line area which the foam did not look like it did. I know this since I added liquid into the mix about a good 2 years ago.

I recently had a 6 month break and decided to jump back onto it and can confirm putting liquid kirkland on again improved minoxidil hair growth randomly in areas which I never got.

I guess I always wondered which one works best but for me both have there benefits, foam makes my hair thicker and gives minoxidil tiny lifeless hairs, liquid gives growth and improved density but makes my hair more flat.

course its different for anyone I would advise people mix it up and try different solutions, but its nice to see kirkland foam...
I still got about 6-8 months worth of kirkland/foam so its gonna be a long while before I jump to this.

Hey guys! Just a quick question here. What color is LIQUID Kirkland minoxidil? Mine is like water, completely colorless and has only slight scent of alcohol. And it's not as oily as Lipogaine that I used before. Looks kinda fake and I'm worried about it.

Kirkland (or any liquid minoxidil) can be completely clear to yellowish depending on the age of the batch, exposure to air, etc.

You do not have fake Kirkland.

I'm thinking of starting minoxidil for my crown area. I have posted my pics on the other board, but haven't gotten any replies yet.

Is the consensus that you should use foam minoxidil during the day and liquid at night?

Many people use rogain foam in the morning and liquid at night because 1) rogain foam dries faster than liquid..get ready for work quicker 2) foam is more expensive than liquid so by using foam once a day you save money.

It really depends on the person. There is no reason you should alternate two like that. You can use either liquid only or foam..
