L-Argine - How Long Till it Kicks In?

Okay, so I started a HGH holy war earlier today, and one thing it hasn't cured me of is a reduction in my spooge level. Even though I've been off Propecia. for a bit, it hasn't come back. It will, fine, but I want to start L-arginine. I've done some searches, but I can't fine the amount of time it actually takes.

I think it varies somewhat, such as depending on the dose. If you take say, 2000 Mg's a day, it will probably be around a week or so perhaps less at least that is what it was for me. I think gourmetstylewellness.com said it took him about a week or so and his count was back up. Just an FYI make sure you cycle on and off, at first you will probably feel like a 14 year old boy at least I did.

The stuff works well for me.

Been a good few months of 500mg each night before bed.

Makes you have a LOT to say when it comes spittin' time. :D

It is my understanding that L-Arginine should be used in high doses when the need arises (pun intended), not on a daily basis.

I read somewhere that if taken at high doses everyday, the effects will lessen over time. The amino acid in free form supplies extra blood flow to the pelvic area. It is supposed to really increase pleasure in women who use it as well.

This is the reason for cycling as well, another reason to make sure that you cycle so your body does build up a tolerance.

21 gone, how much do you use, and how do you cycle exactly? 4 wks on, one week off, or do you just stop when you don't think you'll need it for a few days...

I simply cycle the easiest way I know how - I pick up a bottle, use the recommended doseage until it runs out, wait a month, and then pick up another bottle. Works great. I'm a big ol' believer in simplification.

Yeah you can do it same as social or you can do 6 weeks on 2 or 3 off 4 weeks on 2 off. Whatever you do just make sure you cycle on and off. Um my dosage varies, I use usually between 1500 or 2000 Mgs. Sometimes I use more but not often, I also have protein powder that has it in some if I take say 2 shakes a day I will take less in pill form. In NOX I think that is what it is, they charge about about 20-40 bucks a month and all it basically is in Arginine in high doses so I think it is safe in high doses but as I understand the Arginine has not been studied extensively for HGH purposes and to know exactly how much to take it still up in the air as far as safety is concerned.

It has been studied, and it has been proven that high doses of L-arginine do not affect hGH output. Sorry to burst your bubbles guys. But L-arginine is still a good supplement.

I totally agree that it is a good supplement, I thought I remembered Bryan saying that it was not studied yet. Perhaps I was wrong?

I recall reading a study that showed orally taking L-arginine and other amino acids did not affect hGH or IGF-1. Bryan's just saying that so he doesn't have to go fish out studies from PubMed or MEDLINE. Lazy bastard!

Drink so what are the limitations of taking this as in how much can one take in a day and be safe and how long should one take it, because we are not rats, well some of us are but some arent.

Frankly, I am naturally hesitant to take any large doses of a particular amino acid in isolation. The human body is used to digesting and incorporating amino acid proteins that are presented to the body in certain recognizable chains and combinations, i.e., beef aminos, or egg aminos, etc.

The body needs a good spectrum and diversity of aminos to perpetuate cellular metabolism. As long as the body has this diversity of aminos to work with from your diet intake, there should be no problems. But, if you are shorting your body certain aminos, and hyperdosing on others, then things might get hairy.

I think it is okay to emphasize higher doses of particular aminos that support certain functions only as long as your overall diet continues to provide a good variety and quantity of proteins to work with in the background for other vital cellular processes.

Does it make it less sensitive when you do 'spit' like v**** does? v**** acts on nitric oxide (I think). I have taken it in the past and when I do spit it is about half as intense as usual.

I agree with Gardener. Supplements are not meant to substitute for a healthy diet. You may take them in conjunction. If you do take them, I suggest cycling on and off -- for instance, 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

With L-arginine, 3-4 grams a day sounds about right. You can buy it for real cheap from http://www.bulknutrition.com.

L-Arginine dilates blood vessels and capillaries which in therory could make any drug (propecia, monoxidil) more effective. I have been talking it for weight lifting for almost 2 years. You can buy NOX2 by pinnical, which is time released. I take it twice a day. It gives me longer and more full pumps, so I know its working.
