Laser Combs

So I am considering getting a laser comb as my hair loss isn't very aggressive (been going on for 6 years but I only have some slight thinning) and I've come across many different combs. Has anyone tried one this cheap?

I then had a look at Hairmax which offers the "advanced 7" or "pro 12" series at £187-£330. I guess I'd go for the advanced 7, because the only difference appears to be the amount of lasers.

I should ask at the same time, has anyone had success using laser combs?

I have been using hairmax for a little over a year now and I would recommend it. I went with the 7 and I think it's the best one for me because I have a smaller head and they are really not formed to fit the curvature of the scalp. I really couldn't see using a larger comb.

I've used the HairMax Laser Comb Professional 12 before in the past. I myself personally found LLLT to help promote hair growth and improve the quality of my hair. I currently haven't been using it lately as I find it too weak to be a good legitimate treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia, especially that it doesn't do anything to address the cause of the condition, which is DHT. I quit using LLLT, though I've been thinking about lately to add it back into my hair and scalp care regimen, but not to use as a legit treatment for my male pattern baldness.

That's what I thought... I really wonder if Hairmax is a ripoff tho... Seeing as there are other brands selling their combs for a fraction of the price.

I never tried them. But the FDA (US) states that there only effective in women. There not as effective as finasteride or minoxidil. There probably good at keeping your hair from going gray though.

I saw this on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2ytqOptM7I and this guy had really good results. But I guess it works better for women than men...

they sell on ebay used a lot cheaper then they do new. I haven't found a comb that is similar enough to the laser comb for me to buy one. I know the laser comb is nothing fancy buy for the price you pay, you can be assured that you'll get at least a few years of use out of it so the price isn't that big of a factor especially if you see positive results.

I also have been using laser since September last year and have experienced the same effects as you mentioned. It gives some MINOR cosmetic effect but overall, it's hasnt regrow hair for me. I'm thinking of taking a break from laser as it's not worth the hassle for slightly thicker hair. I've Started taking collagen where it's given me a thicker appearance without the hassle of holding a advice for 20 mins each time. Laser is beneficial for hair but you need to evaluate expectations.

Sorry to say man but they don't work. Stick to the big 3

I would concur with this.

I've been using the Hairmax Pro12 practically every other day for 5 months (12-15 mins each time) and my vertex hair is still very fine/miniaturised and brittle which for me says it doesn't work to reverse that. I was expecting a lot more based on their clinical results in the manual.

It does however seem to increase the speed of hair growth and leaves longer hair well conditioned after use (due to the heat I assume).

Maybe it works for some people with less aggressive hairloss, but sadly I can't say its done much for me so far. It certainly has not justified its price.

It won't hurt, but I won't believe it regrows until I see well documented before and after pics with trichoscans. I think it may help if you're lucky but very slightly.
