There are many different emotions and stages that many balding guys go through. He is an early norwood. He is at the stage where he is so frightened of all available treatments that he is trying to convince himself that he doesn't care about losing hair and he has no problem going bald. Easy to feel that way as a NW1.5. Give him some time, sooner or later reality will set in and he will be in panic mode to try to save his hair. This might happen in a few months or a few years, but there will come a time when he realizes his looks are eroding and people are starting to look and treat him differently. Hopefully when that day comes, it isn't too late for him to do something about it.

I'm on finasteride, my dick works just fine and my hair is great. It's not either/or you can take finasteride and have both unless you're in the very small unlucky minority, and even then it's reversible if you quit finasteride. Don't let OP dissuade anyone from at least trying it.

I read anything with keto can cause sheds. I don't want to have to worry of a lifetime of sheds. Even if they are every other month. Are you shedding from it? I am using an Organic biotin and lavender shampoo.

Just don't use finasteride and go on revivogen like me..

Insult guys dealing with male pattern baldness on a hair loss forum. Right on! Again with the comb over garbage. If you get on treatments early enough and save your hair there is no need to comb anything over. There are plenty of styles you can have with a receding hairline that are not a comb over. Even buzzing like I do looks way better with coverage on the top of your head, instead of a slick bald NW6/7 buzz cut. You choose not to use treatments, good for you. Why trash guys that choose to try to help themselves? As long as they understand the risks, I don't see the problem. You don't take finasteride for what ever reason: fear, health,??? I respect your decision. You should be respectful of our decision to try to keep from going bald.

On finasteride you may be able to style a receding hairline for 5 years before it gets worse. So now we are sacrificing our sex life and general health for a little extra follicles. I don't think lowering DHT is natural. I know people like bodybuilders who would kill for extra DHT. Yet here we are lowering it to feminizing levels.

Again not true. Sure there will be some men that are unable to stop their hair loss, but if you get on the drug early enough, you can buy yourself years of a full head of hair. If you wait too long like I did then yes the best you can hope for is to thicken up, but even that is better than going slick bald IMO. If you are against the receding hairline look then when you get there just shave your head. I for one think I look way better with a receding hair line than a shaved head.

i been using 1% keto since octuber 2013 never had a shed from it if anything it helped stop my shed (serious ), now im just slowing receeding, but no noticable hairs falling out, in oct. i had hand fulls of hair like if i ran my hand thru my hair there would be ten hairs on my hands everytime, now its like 1 hair or zero, still a few during a shower but thats natural

finasteride in one of the better things we have in our fight against hair loss. Like any drug, learn about potential sides, then make a decision on whether it is worth the risk. It was for me and so far I am happy with my decision.

I love food too much to get on a diet. Sorry for the language but pleasure from glazed chocolate donuts is a million times more important than having a human form or good mental hygiene. Yes, even if it means being a living cadaver. Anyone that thinks otherwise should really reconsider themselves.
