Almost at the 1 month mark.

I started Nizoral (1%) this week and aim to use it 2-3 times per week.

Starting to notice a few mild sides from the finasteride:
-mild testicular ache (only twice so far)
-increase in shedding
-improved complexion

I would like to hit my hairline with Rogaine to see if I can fortify it or even a little regrowth. Anyone have any luck applying it to just the hairline?

I apply minoxidil at my temples and there is no doubt it grows hair. It's not as effective as it is when used in the crown, but considering the cost of generic minoxidil I'd say it's more than worth it. The earlier you start it in an area you've lost hair the more chance you have of success though.

There are some really good success stories of hair grown at the temples with minoxidil, Zeroheat's is one I can think of off the top of my head, but if you look around you should have no trouble finding a bunch of examples.

Good luck :)

Thanks for the response, Tyler. I've definitely been using the success stories board to inspire me onward.

It's been a week and a half on minoxidil and it seems like my hair has thinned a bit on the upper temple corners of my hairline. Well, the short and thin hairs seem to have vacated leaving the longer and more coarse hair behind. It's a little disheartening, but at the same time I can see very tiny and wispy hairs and darker pigmented follicles in areas of my temples that have been barren for some time with an 8x mirror.

Hopefully I can figure out a way to hold the mirror steady and get a shot with the camera to post a few pictures. No telling if any will grow or even be terminal, but I guess sacrificing a little hairline for the chance is worth it.
