Recently I've been interested in fixing my hair loss problem. I started losing hair at about 15, it looked worse than it was as i had a high hair line to begin with. I used to try to grow my fringe long to hide it and eventually gave in to wearing a hat which I still do today at 36. I've dipped in and out of looking in to solutions over the years depending on how I've felt at the time. I don't think I'll ever be happy with how I look. I've always wanted to go out feeling comfortable but never had the chance to so I want to try something. Having fuller hair on top is a dream for me.
I'm pretty sure I know where my hair loss pattern will go, I seem to be the exact same as my dad. He has hair on top though quite thin.

So now i'm looking in to things again I've noticed people talking about things I know nothing about so I want to start with the basics. I want to look at what causes my hair loss so I can find the right treatment. I'm sure there are many factors, I'm pretty sure DHT is one as I've taken Minoxidil and Finasteride in the past very briefly maybe a couple month and had results. Stress is definitely a factor for me and maybe blood flow to the scalp.

I think I want a hair transplant in the future so also want to take care of my scalp as much as possible.

Can any one give me some advice please.

Need pics of your hair. If you are half bald or more then dutasteride would be a better option than finasteride. minoxidil with a dermaroller is effective. I would only get a hair transplant once hairloss is stabilised (stopped)

For best advice, i need to see your blood tests and infection tests. Since you're 36 many things could change.

if interested, reply here

The above photos were taken over the past month. The last 2 are of my dad. My hair and hair line have always pretty much followed my dads pattern until about 5 years ago where I very very quickly went thin on top. At the time I was the most stressed I've ever been so wondered if that could have had an effect. I've had a lot of stress up until now. I started regaine about a month ago as I had some left in a can but decided not to continue so that may have started a shedding phase before these photos were taken.

I haven't had blood or infection tests before so will look in to how i do that.
