Hey guys,

23 year old British bloke here with his sob story.

I have been using propecia for a year now, with no progress. So, I am allowing my sex drive and erections to experience a bit of normality.

I used minoxidil with the propecia for 3 weeks about three months ago with excellent results. My hair became stronger, with less shedding, but it was a damn shame when I started to experience heart palpitations and chest pains. I obviously had to leave the stuff alone, or end up in a early grave.

Anyway, gonna leve the hairloss battle for now, and investigate other remedies, such as spironolactone, hair transplants, or just acceptance.

If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly accepted.

Have you thought about a spironolactone & Revivogen combination? If you really want to get agressive, add Folligen or Tricomen as well.

Hello Ryan, i'd definately think of using 2% spironolactone in combination with something, have you tried different types of minoxidil to see if that helps? 2%, Dr. Lees Versions? Maybe he could help? Keep using Nizoral 2% in the mean time!

If minoxidil is not possible, perhaps--->spironolactone/Folligen/Nizoral? You could always look into Eil Crannel too, zimmy might be able to help...?

Definately try some other options 1st, and keep us updated!

I think revivogen would be a waste of time.

Ryan, I would get on nizoral 2% shampoo three times a week, and start out with a 2% or 5% spironolactone solution at nighttime. You do need something really potent tho to make an impact, maybe Ru58841 if you can afford it.. and alternate it with spironolactone.

As for less absorption with minoxidil, use a 2% created by Dr. Lee with glycerin instead of PPG.. less absorption and less concentration. Might help.

Those heart problems from the minoxidil.?

Did a doctor diagnose you with that?

minoxidil was supposed to be only for treating high blood pressure. And then :hairy: guys starting sprouting hair.

Whoaa, don't get a hair transplant you are to young. You will end up wasting lots of money. You will have to keep going back again and again to fill in other area's remember a good per graft price is $4 and you need thousands. I do not look at this as a viable option in your case.

Listen to what these other fine gents have said spironolactone works and get a doctor to diagnose those heart Palps- this is unusual.

Since your in Europe maybe you can obtain some Fluro, studies show it really works great. Don't give up there are lots of places to go.

Same problem with the heart arrhythmia due to the Minoxidil, so I stopped it and went to the Doctor and he said stop using the Minoxidil obvioulsly. Then I asked him if I could continue using it just at a reduced dose and he said as long as I was not having the pains then a reduced dose would be ok, but to discontinue at the first sign of problems. I have been on about a 2/5 mL dose for about 3 weeks now and have had no problems. If you really want to continue using the Minoxidil then you might want to try that out.

Cheers everyone,

I obviously want to keep my hair, but a reduced amount of minoxidil would be too risky. I exercise regularly, and having chest pains made me paranoid aout pushing myself to excess when playing football and running. I am only a young 'un, and would die of boredom without being fit and active.

spironolactone sounds viable, as the DHT blocker in propecia wasn't seemingly working. Maybe I coul try it on its own, and add propecia or saw palmetto later. But, don't really want to muck aroud with my body again.

By the way, WHAT IS FLURO ?

I am young too, younger than you actually, and do a lot of cardio and have yet to have any problems since I cut it down to 2/5 mL Minoxidil. Like I said it might be worth a try before you start getting into those products that might not be any good at all.

Yes, Lizzad Fluridil, it is supposedly good stuff and is available in the Czech republic right now. Read up on it and see what you think. I think Funkster has posted some good reports on it on the experimental board in this site. There seem to be some good experimentals coming out. Keep yourself informed Ryan there is always hope.
