Left hairline diffusing speeding up

The patch is getting thinner and losing hair at a very fast pace. It looks stupid as my other side looks fine. If it carrys on I will have the island only on my left side maybe my right side will decide to turn on the male pattern baldness gene soon. All my family have male pattern baldness but none have the island! I'm shaving all over at grade on but it looks silly with this stupid patch. I'm not very keen on going the Bic route just yet..

Can you also see the diffuse? Sick of people telling me I'm crazy. That part was full of hair 6 months ago!

it looks a little thinner in that spot but i mean... it doesn't look too bad BUT you know your hair better than anyone on the internet ect.

If you know you're losing hair and you've been to a dermatologist who has confirmed your hair is miniaturizing ect then the only way you're going to keep your hair is to get on finasteride.
If you aren't willing to get on finasteride, then you need to accept your hair loss and move on.
It's better to start treatment as soon as you notice your hairloss instead of waiting seven years until you have a thin mess on your head and you're scrambling to salvage something that can't be saved at all.
If you are losing your hair, i personally don't think it's that bad but if you believe you're losing hair then you need to act now. Good luck, brother.

Do you sleep touching this area with the pillow?

can sleeping on one side actually cause that to happen?

I've never heard of this. I don't believe that is what I have. I have male pattern baldness. It has just started to kick in. I'm not happy about the diffuse but I'm not going to start finasteride. I know some posters on here seem to get extremely irritated when someone decides not to start it.. I've researched into that drug as much as I can and for me it is a big nono. You said if I don't want to take it then deal with it. Well that's what I'm. Trying to do by talking about it and learning to accept it. I have already shaved my head to grade one.

I personally don't believe a cure for male pattern baldness will be around for another 20 years and I can see how it really does affect some younger men who suffer from it.

It's annoying as it seems to be diffusing in such a weird pattern. If it carrys on it will skip right past nw3! I'll have that tuft at the front lol.

I'm joing the gym in January :)

Does research mean frequenting hair loss forums and reading complaints about side effects from the drug? Because I'm pretty sure most people don't get sides from finasteride, but the vocal minority blow it out of proportion. If you do get sides, they will probably subside within a few months.

If you're really hesitant, you can try minoxidil.

Slowly forming the NW2 male pattern baldness.

only a matter of time before you have a complete U on both sides with an island in the middle.

you'll regret not trying finasteride.

That is one hell of a predication! That's possible and I'm probably going the way of jude law. I might regret it but then I might accept it like my father and uncle and grandads. It's something I'll have to live with. I'm 28 so my youth is out there way.

You can see the area of hair that going thin in this shot. I think it's turning in fuzz.

I would rather not play about with a hormone that is very important.

A question: when someone goes completely bald is the hair itself completely dead or just in a permanent rating phase?

You're a NW2 diffuse. The shape is already there.

I ask of you to reconsider.. it's a mild medication, despite what most people percieve it as. Anti-depressants are far more dangerous, and costly hormonally speaking. Finasteride is quite safe! read up on it.

OK, I'll read a bit more into it. At least you're taking me seriously. I received quite a bit of abuse before and was told I needed psychiatric help because I had a perfect hairline and I was here as a troll. Really annoyed me!

Can I just ask how you also know I'm a diffuse. I agree with you though 100% as my dad is also a diffuse thinner and it started at the exact same age!

I respect your decision not to take finasteride. It is cool that you have accepted that you will go bald, because that is exactly what is going to happen. I don't think people get irritated when guys decide not to take finasteride. I think they get frustrated when guys with a full head of hair, in the beginning stages of hair loss, claim to be so desperate and want help, but refuse to take any effective treatment. If I could turn back time and get on treatment early, that is exactly what I would do. I got on way to late and now I'm screwed. Hopefully you do not regret your decision when it is too late.

You will not "learn to deal with it" here on this forum. Most guys that post don't want to be bald and haven't accepted it.

Thanks for being respectful.

Yea I am not desperate in that respect. I'm just looking to. Talk about it to people who are also in the same position. I have bald friends who actually don't care. They tell me to deal with it an move on so I don't think it effects everyone in the same way.

I am. Not comfortable with taking finasteride and maybe I will regret it in the future.

I also have diffuse on the upper side of my head here.

Hi

your initial and natural hair density is low, as your father, please don't abuse from head shaved.
I think that problems with sebum (fat hair), or sebum flow (because sebum is formed and need its elimination) are implicated in the first events of common hairloss. Did you notice some differences in greassiness in diferent parts of the head shaved? I think that areas around the head are not so prone to baldness because they are in contant during some hours a day touching an absorbent surface as the pillow...., but I can be wrong.

Prevention better than cure, and in this time nor finas or minoxidil are the cure.

A lot of luck

What do you mean do not abuse shaved head? I currently wash my head with nizoral because I suffer from a dermatitis and I flake extremely badly and get a very only scalp and awful smell. It does not cause thinning or balding though.

1- Don't Jump On Finasteride if you wanna keep your dick and balls.
2- By the time you go bald (If this is truly male pattern baldness), there'd be stem cell surgery to restore your follicles.
3- Hair on every head is completely different, some might look like they're thinning or male pattern baldness but it's actually not. Some get a receding hairline that stops at some point. People on here have HIGH awareness because they've encountered hairloss and they look out for the smallest symptom, so it doesn't necessarily have to be male pattern baldness if they say so. HAIR AT THE HAIRLINE IS "FINE" HAIR.
4- Worst case scenario get a wig, nothing shameful about that, or go for FUE Transplant and have a good doctor do that for you with the MAXIMUM grafts possible.
5- Don't worry too much, I'm telling you, worrying about it gets you in an Ugly situation.
6- Be grateful because INCASE it really is male pattern baldness then you started at a rational time unlike most people who start at 16-19. Their youth? Dead, killed, ****ed, raped, and destroyed.

Kudos.

Haha, not you again!.

Serious thought, don't take people like Wesley seriously, generally they have failed to control their hair loss and try to take down as many people with them as they can. Sad but true.

I was scared to take finasteride, but soon realised it was the best decision I have made in combating hair loss.
