I think treatments (the big 3 especially) are a great thing to get on when you are first losing it.

Get on them, and dont worry about it.


If in ten years (when you will probably start noticing a little more thinning), there is nothing new on the horizon (meaning cloning has failed, Androgen-receptor agonist like Androscience has failed, Cosarialis method has failed, and any new cellular pathway agonist are not then in phase 3 trials, etc.), THEN one might consider just buzzing what is left, continuing to use nizoral shampoo (youre going to shampoo anyway right?), and letting nature take its course.


If youre disposed to early baldness, and dont want to do anything about it, you still might consider taking about 160 mgs of good quality saw palmetto, because you probably have a higher chance of BPH than other men anyway.



What you dont want to do is to get a transplant, and then be MADE to be interested in hair for the rest of your life whether you "get over it" or not. Then you have to take finas.




To resond to the money portion of your argument...................you have to look at it as if you were a smoker (DONT SMOKE), but you'll be spending about a dollar and fifty cents or so a day (generic finas) for the rest of your life. It would be cheaper than smoking.

Mike, if someone is really concerned about money, they can actually get Fincar(generic Proscar) from sites like Inhouse for $78 for a year's supply. $78 for a year's supply, cutting into fourths.

If they cut into fifths it's only $63 a year. So it's 22 cents a day to keep your hair if you cut in fourths or 18 cents a day to keep your hair if you cut in fifths. Who can't afford that? I mean really. There is no one who owns a computer with internet access in a developed country who cannot afford 70 bucks a year. Cut back on other sh*t if you have to, but everyone who has the time and internet access and a computer can afford that. And use nizoral too. Use a cheap prewash shampoo before it like I do and you can make 2-3 bottles last a year. $100 for a year's supply of finasteride+nizoral. It's affordable guys.
