qball, its just a classic case of BDD. I know how he feels. The problem is mostly a mental one. He has more issues than just his hair. My hair is just ONE of the things I focus on. The difference between me and him is I can admit my hair situation is really minor and I am lucky its not as bad as many unfortunate ones I have seen on this forum. However, its the fact that there are so many people who are older than me that still have perfect thick hair like Patrick Dempsey or 99% percent of the hispanics I see in my area. Its comparing yourself to those genetically perfect males that will drive you nuts. That is what can mentally mess you up. Most people on here feel inferior when they see a thick NW1. If we can all just have the "I don't give a sh*t" attitude of what other people think, we all would not need to even have a forum like this one. However, that is definitely not in case for mostly every one on this forum.

This guy just LOVES to be miserable. You are depressed, yet you refuse to see a doctor and you refuse to take medication. The situation isn't going to get better on it's own. Your hair is slightly receded, no big deal man, get on propecia and move on with your life. You have hair, you're not bad looking, you apparently are 200lbs of muscle....so what is there to be sad about again?

Nene,
Do you really think that someone who has been blind for 22 years since he was born -
would trust a doctor telling him all he needs is to believe and he'll start seeing ?

No, and I'm not too sure what your getting at with that question. I'm just telling you that you need to be open to treatment for your depression. I've been there and in some ways I'm still there. Seeing doctors and/or taking medication isn't always going to work 100%, but we have to at least take steps to solve our problem. Depression is an illness and it needs to be treated. When your at the point where you don't want to live, why not try to see a doctor or take some anti-depressants? At that point what do you have to lose? I know life is hard, I know losing your hair sucks, I know what it's like to be depressed, but we can't just wallow in our self-pity. Keep your head up man, try and see a psychiatrists, keep up the hard work in the gym. I know your injured but surely there are still some work outs you can do while you recover? I wish you the best of luck man.

bro, you need to chill out. it looks good. not just ok, not just "acceptable" it actually looks good. I'm diffuse on top, probably going to take the plunge and shave down in a few months. If it looks like that when I do i'll be pysched.
its your attitude that makes everything else in your life suck.. my hair is much worse and I have a hot girlfriend.

plus you can grow a beard. i can't at all, which makes the thinning thing look even weirder.

My temple loss is rather similar to yours...try not to be so down on yourself. Although i'd never buzz mine to how you have it..you're fortunate enough to have the head shape for that style, i don't.

Mine is also somewhat similar to yours. Gonna start on big3 as soon as I can find the time to visit a doctor.

Your frontal hair does indeed seem finer than those on other parts of your head, the reason why people couldn't see before was most likely due to the poor lighting and picture quality.

You're on the wrong forums mate.

Alright boss, I admit it, I can see some mild diffusion at your temples, your type of loss isn't typically on the Norwood Scale (diffuse NW4 pattern without crown loss?) but I'm sure we've all seen it before.

Your previous pictures showed no thinning or loss whatsoever, it's only in that one I can see it.
It's nothing finasteride and minoxidil can't handle.

well,
I am on finasteride and minoxidil for 1+ year,
no changes at all - not for the good , maybe slight for the bad...

Seriously, dude, just buzz it down and keep it there. You look just as good buzzed as you do with hair.

If you go this route, you'll save yourself thousands of bucks worth of treatments, and thousands of hours of misery and treatments and mirror-watching agony. You will never get that time back.

It's a bit like taking a staple out of your hand. It's more pain at first, but in the long-run it's the best thing for you.

Get it done or I'll lose all time and respect for you. Seriously. This is by far the best option for you. Just do it and stop ruining your own life.
