I noticed that lighting in any given area can mess with you a lot -- esp where your hair pops off your head.. light will penetrate and expose scalp.

i don't know about that; although I've noticed mine looks great there as well, but you only getting light from the side. 90% of environments will have overhead lighting, right.

sorry, not sure of the point of this thread -- just wanted to open up the dialog.

fair enough. I will say that even people with the most perfect of hair will have scalp exposed in the right(wrong) settings -- at least what I've noticed.

Mind you...this is my quote

"Looking in the rear view mirror truly tells the story."

But I should have made it

"Looking in the rear view mirror truly tells the story of your hair loss."

actually no- not in my case anyway. ill explain.

ive been on finasteride & nizoral for 4months. minoxidil for 3months.

anyway i gotta a lot of thin white hairs on my hairline since ive been on minoxidil. looking in my rear view mirror in bright sunlight ALL these hairs show up & really thicken my hairline- ok so its weird their white but my hair can be quite fair at times depending on lighting. anyway back in the house i look in the mirror high watt lightbulb providing the light- with a bit of daylight coming through the window. Jeezus all those hairs are now invisible & all i can see is my thinning dark hairs on my hairline- looks quite bad close up... little more tolerable when i step back a few feet but still a concern. so WTF?

in certain lighting conditions my hair looks ok- but others noticeably thin. this is my problem since i want to spike my hair up & i look in the mirror- depending on lighting hey my hair looks good... spike hair up. walk down stairs, check another mirror & oh no! hair looks thin... then i have to run back upstairs to comb my hair forward.

Yeah man, that';s rock solid.

You get that though, where people with thick hair caught in a certain light can make them look like they have thin patches. Certain lights make everyone look balding.
