I've been on finasteride for a little over a week and, as many other posters have complained about, my sex drive is nill and erections are alot weaker. I'm a diffuse thinner and it's really not that bad... yet. I'm only taking 1mg of finasteride daily, does anyone know if I could take less and still maintain?

Another question too: I've been on minoxidil for about 5 months maybe, I think it's really working great but i've noticed that all my hairs (including the ones on the sides of my head) are all very fine. Is there anything short of a conditioner that will help this?

Just read it. Thanks. You say you heard these sexual side effects subside after a while in many cases? I sure hope so, i'm not sure its worth sacrificing sex for hair. Have you regained any of your labido since that was posted? I've only been using finasteride for about 9 days.

Are you sure that Finasteride already has been able to infiltrate that much of your system at day nine? I'm at day seven myself, and I have yet to notice any sides. I'm not counting on encountering any sides before somewhere around the one month-mark.

Do we have anyone here with a deeper knowledge of how much Finasteride may have affected ones body after just over a week?

I really have no idea. I certainly wasnt expecting side effects this early on, but I am unquestionably experiencing a decreased sex drive, unless it's all in my head... I kind of doubt it though, never had this problem until using finasteride.

Fallicule, the thing is, before you take the drug, u think what it can do for you and presume that you wont be in the "2% of side effects". But when your on the drug, have no libedo, and it makes you go crazy, you realize your happiness is way more important. Either cut the dose in half or simply drop it and continue your life!
