looking for a bit of advice

I've always had thin hair. But recently I've been feeling really self conscious about my crown (3 people in the space of a fortnight said I was going bald).

Both my parents have said that it is nothing to worry about(it looks the same) and I've been to a Doctor for a reference to see a Dermatologist but she insisted nothing was wrong and that they wouldn't see me.

I've found a couple of old photos from 2012 (I would of been 25) and 2011(24)

These are up to date photo taken today: IMG_20141002_151826.jpg Untitled2.jpg

Since the 3 people have mentioned me going bald I've been more aware of this "patch" on my hair - I.e Wind/air-con hitting it and irritating it. Also I tend to be more aware of it best described as "feeling it" - I'm unsure how to describe the feeling - asking for advice since a few of you might understand what I mean. I'm unsure if this is just a psychological symptom as I tend to over obsess with it at home with 3x zoom mirrors.

At the minute I'm taking some hair vitamins: holland and Barrets - Vitamins for hair and using Alpecin Caffeine shampoo/liquid on the advise of my mum.

I've been looking at suggested vitamins to make hair grow faster/thicker and am wondering if Biotin is actually a recommendation or not - Or is it just a case of starting minoxidil and hoping?

If there's irritation then there's a good chance Androgenetic Alopecia is doing its tricks on you. Scalp inflammation is caused by the androgen floating around your follicles so you are doing well watching out for that. Have you notice any redness? Are you experiencing scalp itch? How about shedding, are there hairs left on the pillow or in the tub?

Don't listen to what people say, vitamins alone won't work for you and it might be too early to start using minoxidil. Hop on finasteride ASAP, if you have male pattern baldness.

irritation is little to none it's more of a I'm aware of that area but not the rest of my hair sensation (it's actually really hard to describe!!!) - as for shedding I'm unaware of any hair falling onto my pillows and <5 normally in a shower if any.

Sorry but it doesn't look like a mature hairline to me, take pictures every six months/every year if you're not sure.
I don't know about the crown though, mine has looked worse than this for many years so I'm not objective.

Looking for some more advice about the "feeling/feelings" of balding.

I have now cut my hair short in an attempt to cut down the weird feelings I'm getting around the crown of my head as they are pyhsically driving me insane. Are these feelings normal in the balding process?
