Hi there

new to he forum, but been using products from here since last November.
Im 32, been losing more hair for a long time. I dint really notice how bad it was until last November when I got my wedding pictures. I was pretty dissapointed.
I knew it was quit late, but I decided to start something anyway. I was shedding a lot then. everytime I went in the shower I would run my hands through my hair and have It on my hands

I have been on rogaine foam, revi, nizoral and tricomin for over a year. and since then my shedding has stopped.
However regrowth has been slow. I am very commited to this and would like to know if propacia is the next way to go. My only conern being the sexual side effects as I have had some issus in the past with ED.

I would also like to know if anyone else has done close to my regime and added anything and seen continued results. Im open for suggestions :)

Thank you for any feedback!

Finestaride is nowadays the most effective drug to stop hairloss and in some cases gain hair. Sexual sides effects are a reality, I used finasteride for 5 years with no sides, now some of them have appeared so im lowering the dose to see what happens.

I say you should go for it! however you need to know that some people have claimed that sexual side effects have persisted for long time after stop using finasteride, I don't know if that is true but you can find those testimonies out there. In my case sexual side effects persisted one month after stop taking finasteride.

you should have started finasteride when you started everything else. minoxidil doesn't work long term so finasteride is necessary for long term maintenance of your hair

Thanks for the reply. I really am considering it. with 5 years of use how was your results?

Excellent results man, hair didn't go anywhere and thin hair gained thickness. I would take finasteride for life if it weren't for those damn side effects.

Your sides started that late? After 5 years? Or early and u just dealt with it?
Yah I know I should have made the decision back then to add it. Mostly I was seeing if I would stick to something like this for this long. So now that I have and I'm
Commited, wanna start added to the arsenal

Yes, side effects began 5 years later... during the time I was taking it nothing happened.

This is impossible. Side effects began first year or maximum second year. After 4 years, for sexual side effects, there is no difference between finasteride and placebo groups.

I think your side effects associated with another disease, medicine etc..

Some diseases like diabetes, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, heart diseases, autoimmune disorders, prostatitis, kidney problems and some drugs like anti depressants, xanthine oxidase inhibitors, cholesterol drugs etc can easily cause to sexual dysfunction or sexual problems..

I think you should be examined to a good physician..

No, no..This is very wrong idea. Side effecs are associated with a lot of different problems..A lot of diseases, drugs, alcohol, smoking can cause to sexual dysfunction..

How do you know that finasteride causes these sexual disorders after 4 years ?

Finasteride's side effecs are only in 2 years..Then your body adjust to drug and hormonal balance is achieved.

Finasteride blocks only %50-69 of DHT..%30 of DHT continues and DHT levels remain in the ''normal range''...

Hey OSWALD: I would really like to know where you get that information from, specifically "side effects of finasteride are only in the first 2 years and after that the hormonal balanced is achieved"... Damn I would like to believe that!

I had no problems in 5 years taking finasteride and all of a sudden I started having them... I quit finasteride and after one month side effects were gone, then I started again with 0.5 mg/day and side effects appeared at day 2... I stopped again and sides were gone... I started again with 0.25 mg/day and sides appeared again... I stopped again and sides were gone... After all that I really don't need any more proof.

In your statements you are not considering that the body naturally changes hormonal balance and a drug that causes no sides effects when you are 25 may causes them when you are 30, it sounds pretty logical to me.
