Looking For Stories Of Diffuse Thinners That Thinned Fast But Recovered On Propecia

Been fighting heavy diffuse thinning from a crazy dense baseline for years. Mostly limited to crown and mid center. Started losing ground 1 year after starting Topical Finasteride and added Propecia. The thinning has quickly crawled forward thinning temples and forlock.

Any diffuse thinners out there experience this but actually recover? Hair was still strong but overall hair quality and diameter has declined. Really hoped Propecia might help but a month in the thinning is noticeable.

Spring top in photo 1 (not as flat, darker, tighter part) versus now (patches, no layers, narrowing at scalp)

I would not call that heavy diffuse thinning. Sorry but you would show more scalp than that. You can say your density is changing due to possibly age and thyroid issues but its not considered aggressive balding until you lose enough density where your whole scale is visible all over. You have way too much density still to even consider yourself to be in that position.

Does anyone think I should try the Prednisone Route my doctor suggested? I doubt this is Areata.
