Losing hair young with boyish pathetic facial features

what do you do if your losing your hair is literally a matter of life or death. With hair I feel great I look great but as my frontal hair has been ravaged by DHT and my hair line thins and recedes im seeing so many things that I just cannot cope with. I have the smallest most pathetic head shape I have ever seen is like I never went through puberty. If I had a manly jawline and head size then I would shave it and be done with this but the fact that I look about 12 means that I cant. Ive thought about chin implants anything to look normal as sadly I will look like a freak. Im 24 and need hair at the front , is there any hope? Am I too young to get hair transplants? My hair at the back and mid scalp is fine but the front is being destroyed despite all the meds im taking to stop it. I really don't know how im going to get through life looking like this I can barely leave the house..

I really feel you here. People tell me I have pretty boyish features and balding doesn't fit in that picture. I mean, I don't think I'll look that bad at like 35-40+ as I have a good head shape for a buzzcut/being bald IMO, but for now, if you combine the high cheekbones, the babyface, a high-*** hairline, my lean/skinny body type and the type of clothes that I wear - it becomes a complete disaster... I pretty much felt like a cancer patient when I was sporting a NW3+ hairline. (In fact, I got asked a few times if I was sick...)

I don't really know of any solutions, unless you decide to try to adapt in making yourself seem more masculine etc. and altering your image a bit. That, or using a hair system of some sorts while weighing your other options or waiting for the medication to kick in and hope for some results. If that doesn't work out either, maybe go for that hair transplant.

In my case, I got success with the big three and I feel alive again. I truly hope you'll find success in combating this thing that's ruining our lives.

Do whatever you can... There really is no life without hair at a young age. Those of us who experienced it know the harsh reality of the situation.

In my case, decent success with minoxidil+finasteride, and like Raz, I feel alive again, have sex, almost a girlfriend now, and a normal social life again. Before that, I had to live almost 2 years dateless, as a walking zombie who no girl gave a crap about. Now some of them are fighting for my attention... Even girls who were ignoring me while I was bald. These girls, of course, would tell you that baldness is not an issue... Anyways...

I'm just afraid now that medication stops working. But I guess at that point I would get a transplant or most likely a system, but there is no way I'm going back to that hell.

Thanks all, the thing that really is causing the pain though is that I feel I may be a non-responder to propecia which means I look to the future with dread not hope. Going bald is tough but at least most people if they are commited enough can hold it off for a while. Ive been commited spent in the four figures on propecia,rogaine, spironolactone, folligen tricomin all the shampoos you name it!! and my hair looks atrocious and recently its really dived. I honestly cant see myself finding a woman, having a decent job, kids in the future if I have to look like this.

The only thing I haven't tried is dutasteride which I know is stronger than finasteride so it might help. The problem is im just constantly shedding on finasteride for 8 months and I don't know if my hair can take another one. Is dutasteride more likely to work? Should I continue finasteride? or maybe take both at the same time to make sure. im pretty sure my hair isn't coming back on finasteride im so far from baseline its just physically impossible as my temples are slick bald now. In terms of side effects I have none so im not scared about eradicating 95% of DHT I just need my hair my life would not be worth it...

Well it does ! That's the point I have a young face and the hair of a sixty year old man don't you think that looks a strange combo. You know why people go on about vin diesel, Jason statham, the rock etc is because there masculine and it suits them. They may look better with hair but it doesn't dramatically change their appearance there still attractive in the eyes of women because of the square jaw etc . What if you have a little round head like me and hair was the only thing that boosted my image . What if you have weak facial features . Baldness is gonna hit me harder of course it is

I'm 100% sure that if Vin Diesel lived next door to me, with an average salary, he couldn't get laid, at least not with the hottest young women. Maybe he'd screw some average girl from time to time, but that's about it. Same with Bruce Willis and other famous, multi millionaires who are always given as examples of how baldness can be 'sexy'.

But that's right, baldness is not a big deal if you have millions and millions of dollars in your bank account. If you don't, you better look for a solution, get used to being alone, or accept ****ing just fatties or divorced women.

Same situation as you. Wear an oversized beanie, they're in fashion at the moment. And get on treatment and hope for it to work.

I heard this story thousands of times and sometimes I believed it but then I realized that if it was true porno actors shall be all bald and this is not true . Many of them got thousands of hair on their skulls. So it is just a fairy tale.
