Well currently i am taking finastreride (nearly 2 months) every other day and at least minoxidil once a day

haven't been taking minoxidil that long, maybe 2 weeks now.

While the itch has pretty much gone now i dunno whether that was because i started taking finasteride once every other day or if it just stopped in general but thats one thing.

Hairline is still receding but dunno if its slower then before but its still going.

Its hard to keep optimistic

Finasteride aka

"How to kill 70% of DHT in the blood and only 30% in the scalp where it actually matters"

Is an incredibly shitty drug. In the time I used it my hairline went from U to V shape and even worse (if you imagine the top of the V is pointing inwards).
Within 2 months of getting on it my hair loss turbocharged.

I was on 1.25 mg for a whole year. Nothing. Nada. Just kept getting worse.

Get better results on RU but even that is not quite enough. Long past playing with these kid's drugs. None of that holds my hair loss back so I'm moving to nuke-tier antiandrogens as a last resort. If I fail on that as well, I'll have to give into being bald, no other choice without outright castration lol.

again 12 months or even up to 2 years before anything happens. You cant obsess over weeks or months its a very long term game.

Because hair has cycles which take months to complete. I would add in dermarolling to your minoxidil. Are you using foam or liquid?

I am using lipogaine so its liquid

I ordered some Ru58841 also (way too expensive though) preparing myself incase i am forced (due to bone and muscle health reasons) to stop minoxidil though.

Lipogaine is way too expensive in my humble opinion. Have you ever considered hair systems neddy? If things dont start getting better you would be a good candidate for it.

If a hair system is what i think it is then i don't wanna think about something like that, makes me feel abit depressed tbh.

I just heard good things about Lipogaine and i was getting desperate enough to give it a go.

I am going to see the doctor tomorrow to ask if i can get a testosterone or estrogen check, i dunno what one but just
something to explain the muscle weakness, aches and the joint cracking and popping since using minoxidil.

Eh I been on finasteride for years. Hair looks the same so it's definitely working. I say this like a broken record, but I wasn't sure if finasteride was working for the first few years. Hair cycles are slow, balding is even slower.

So went to the doctors and explained about my bone and muscle issues and was basically told minoxidil shouldn't have any effect on those things and it might just be in my head...

So last night my right knee and shoulders were aching fairly bad and i seriously don't think thats in my head and i swear i had this issue last year with minoxidil also

the supplements i am taking to help don't seem to be doing much to help so i think minoxidil might have to stop for me :/

So you would rather be bald without joint ache than have hair with some pain in your bones?

If it was temp joint pain then thats one thing but if it turns out to be doing damage then thats something else.

Apparently cracking bones should only be a concern if they come with pain and i do experience abit of an ache from it.

Oddly i read that there are people who have experienced the same thing but with finasteride since if you google you can find many who have experienced the same issue but for me its minoxidil that does it for some strange reason.

I don't wanna stop using minoxidil and i am currently taking several bone related supplements like Vit D, Collagen, calcium, red clover to fight it incase its doing any damage that may not be reversible

I hope your pain subsides soon and you can continue treatments without problem. You probably know this but dont drop treatments as you may end up balder than when you started

Well my hair is still noticeably receding but its probably not been long enough to notice any improvement

Either that or i am just as fucked as i suspect i might be when it comes to any hairloss products

I am holding blind faith.

Don't panic and wait for at least six month or maybe even a year. And be sure you're not taking sugar pills. I think many finasteride purchased online is not legit.

Why would anyone fake a cheap generic like finasteride? There would be no point in faking it when making the real thing costs next to nothing.

It's not just about active ingredients but also about the delivery of the drug in your system. You have many anecdotal evidence out there on the internet people switching to generics and have a bad time. I'm not saying that all generics are fake or bad, but it's just one thing to keep in mind and is many times forgotten here on forums. But to be honest, if you want to take that Indian stuff do it, but for me personally, the risk is not worth it. Maybe I'm just paranoid because I have some experience from bodybuilding world where half the drugs bought online is fake or is not what you ordered. And then you have all kinds of unwanted sides that you haven't expected or nothing works as it should.
