I agree with others that the buzz cut suits you.

My advice would be to buzz your hair a little closer, get some sun on that noggin, and enjoy life. You look good the way you are.

Lift weights and exercise if you aren't already. Eat right and take at least a multi-vitamin.

If you have the money, give Propecia/Proscar/Finasteride (all are really the same drug) a try to lock in what you have, maybe regrow some hair, and buy you some time until something better comes along. I'm taking generic Proscar cut into quarters. $60 worth lasts me 4 months. Finasteride also made my hairs thicker and healthier looking.

Add Nizoral and then Minoxidil as funds permit. If you can't really commit to Minoxidil then it might be best not to start as quitting may have undesireable results (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).

LOL. I just saw the grade 1 buzz cut pic. I take it from the expression on your face you don't like it?

I think it looks ok, you look a little bit old though. Maybe get a nice collection of hats!

Looks pretty good. I'd like to see the top and sides of that, similar to your first pics in the same type of light. I'm curious if I should go shorter, and my hair is similar to yours.

Well done, it's cleaner and i bet it feels better too haha. You got nothing to worry about but you should stay on your treatments, who knows you can get really great results if you stick to your guns.

What is all this?! This man can regrow and all he gets is disappointing answers about having a nice looking face. He has hair all over (although hit) with potential for some serious thickening.

Start on treatments. Even if you do not respond, you will educate yourself not to accept things without a fight.

Fight.

you look cool and confident with it shaved but if you want hair back then jump on the big three and keep to it religiously, and do it for 2 years.......ive been on it 21 months and only seeing best results in the last 3 or 4 months

good luck and happy regrowing

I like the buzz cut, it sucks that your hair took a hit like that though. But I would just keep it buzzed and not worry about it anymore.

Sure if I had the choice to keep my hair, or lose it I would go for the first obv, but even if you get some regrowth you will still be bald. Is that worth all the possible side effects (and the costs?).

I still have all my hair (little thinning on the top, but not noticeable to anyone else it seems), and that's why I'm on propecia (haven't noticed anything as of yet though). As soon as my crown is going bald, or you can clearly see I'm balding, I'm pulling out the razor without a guard though. See me and you are lucky enough to have a perfectly round head, just in case we happen to lose our hair.

This ofcourse is my opinion, there are others who would kill for just a couple of hairs on their head, so they can ' cover ' it up with a combover. That is just not me though. Anyways if you do decide to go with the big 3, then GL!

to me your case looks like one of the stories that will surprise us in 6 months. IMO if you use propecia and minoxidil you can regrow a lot. almost shaven looks fine too.

Do you think it would hurt much if I waited a few months to start the meds? I have no money and I owe my parents a good deal of money. I graduate college in December so once I get a job I will have some money (hopefully) then.

re:

First of all, I feel for you bro but remember that hair is not a defining characteristic unless you let it be. Women are attracted to personality way before looks and you don't seem to be too bad of a looking dude without much hair so don't let this hurt your social life. This is just a genetic condition that you had no control over and for some reason society sometimes makes men feel like sh*t for their hairloss. Don't let this get you down.
I would take it down to a one (no guard) setting. Based on your pattern loss and age, baldness is creeping in so if you buzz it now people won't notice a thing when you go completely bald and keep buzzing it. At irst it may feel strange but you will get used to it and it is great to not have to worry about hair anymore.
If money is a problem then hunt down a doctor who will give you a script for proscar (5 mg finasteride) and just cut the pill into 1/5ths or bite of about 1/5th per morning. The script won't cost you much more then a few dollars. Most doctors, insurers and/or pharmacies won't allow coverage for propecia but they will cover proscar. Tell your Doctor that alot of friends from college have done the same thing to save money, this will make him comfortable. Add minoxidil if you can afford it, but I highly highly suggest that finasteride be the backbone to your treatment because you have to slow down your follicles interaction with DHT. The earlier the better on the finasteride.

cut the side and the back short yet leave the top a little bit longer.
