Hello. I am worried about my hairloss and wanted to make a thread. I am 17 years old and I started noticing more hair loss than usual back in August 2018. At first I freaked out because I immediatly thought I was balding. The shedding was consistent and didn't stop everyday. I want to make it as quick as possible so fast forward 8 months later the shedding has not stopped. Throughout this time I have suspected different causes but the most common and worrying is male pattern baldness. In the pictures you can see my hairline and my crown. One thing I am sure about is my hairline has definitely not changed throughout this time and neither has my crown. So I have suspected diffuse thinning but this also seems very unlikely since I have very little family history of baldness(from my mother's I am not even kidding but no one is beyond nw2, my grandpa was a nw1. From my father's side there is some history of baldness, but no one is bald and those who have hair loss have classic male pattern baldness). This leads me to my question. What can be the cause of hairloss at such a young age? I know mpd is a very common cause but please don't be quick to say jump on finestaride and such as many people in this site tend to do. I want a genuine opinion on my hair loss so I am prepared for the course of action. I also should mention that my hair's density has not changed and it feels the same. Also my crown might look thinner then usual because I combed my hair in a way to show my crown clearly. Any opinion is greatly appreciated.
