Hi guys, to keep it short:
- December 2012: noticed slight temple thinning, didnt worry me a bit, hairline moved back at the temples maybe half a centimetre, nothing really noticeable changed until:
- February 2013: Suddenly, one morning, I had a shower got out and combed my hair and must've lost 50 hairs in my comb, looked into the shower drain and there were dozens more. I never noticed losing more that 5 hairs a day before this point, even literally THE DAY BEFORE I was losing no more hair than normal, it's like someone turned on a hairloss switch.
- at the time I didn't know that loss from the sides of the head as well as on top likely isn't male pattern baldness, I bought some propecia and since it has regrown my hairline but hasn't helped with the diffuse loss
- This has led me to believe the initial temple loss was male pattern baldness, whatever happened from feb onwards isn't.
Another thing that may be relevant is that I have a very red scalp and my hair gets very oily, I couldn't get away with not showering every morning. My scalp doesn't itch much, maybe a bit.
I'm at my wits end with this. I'm only 20, no one loses any hair in my family until their double my age, I HATE not knowing what's causing it, I'm gonna try and visit a derm when my university exams are over but I don't have the time, until then I was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Added a picture, it doesn't really do the thinning justice, my hairline looks fine to me but its just so thin all over.
Opinions?
