lowering DHT and skin

Hey guys,
I notice that people with a full head of hair they also have a smoother skin, less acne, less under eye circles.. they just look younger even if they shave their head. (i.e. their skin is also younger).

I have read somewhere that DHT speeds aging, but nothing scientific.

I am wondering if those who used Fina or other anti-androgen have noticed one or a combination of:

1-lower sebum
2- less acne
3- less under eye circle
4- youthful skin

It's because they have good genes. It seems possible that dutasteride might lower subum production, though.

Yes, there is a relationship between hair, skin, scalp and omega-6, especially the elongated ones (GLA, D-GLA) but I don't know if DHT is involved with this. [EDIT: Elongated Omega 3 and 6 actually lower Dht]

I have noticed a marked improvement in the quality and appearance of my skin and my scalp after supplementing with Blackcurrant oil (1.5g a day) but unfortunately no measurable improvements on the hairline.

These are just the tried and tested methods, I think what dougfunny said on this is right to a very good extent that it could be the genes that has caused this, though I don't believe just that to be the reason as the omega 3, 6 and the DHT are also closely related to help have a significant effect on the hair and the skin.

Yeah I don't know about that. I saw a couple of guys at the gym last night that were bald but had really nice skin.

I think taking Avodart or finasteride makes the skin worse.

If you lower the testosterone or whatever too much you can lose that ingredient that give Males that extra thick skin when compared to females.

Baldness and acne and tone are all independent gene factors.

You can have lots of hair but have skin sooo bad you need a prescription.

Or you can have smooth even skin but be bald.

Or you can have oily skin and take steroids but have no pimples and have tons of hair.

Err the amount of hair someone has is no indication of their DHT levels.
