Hi Guys,

I have reached the 11 month mark since having my hair transplant with Dr Feller, I haven't updated recently as I had a problem with my camera, I had it fixed but it is as still not working right and out of dozens shots I could only get a few the rest were very blurry, i'm getting a new camera for christmas so that will hopefully tie in well with my 12 Month update.

I started taking propecia just over 12 months ago and I really do think it has helped me slowing any further loss for now but I am experiencing a lot of shedding, I talked to spex about this and he says this is quite normal so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I am please with the outcome so far, my transplant hairs are now less crinkley and are matching the same colour and texture as my existing hairs, my only problem is I have an thin area on my right upper temple due to banging my head on a garage door at 2 months, I lost a lot of grafts there and at some point I may need to get this fixed.

Anyways these were taken before I had a haircut, I hope you find this update useful.

How many grafts was used?

Why is the vertex region of your head sticking up like a mountain.? Did you style it that way?

its not like it in every photo so i think you can safely assume he styled it like that :woot:

looking good lucky,a massive improvement to how you looked before, another 6 months on the big three and i'll be off to either feller or rahal for pretty much the same surgery.....hope mine turns out at least half as good as yours :)

Good for you buddy. That's awesome! As of now you're the guy I'd pass on the street and say to myself, "Son of a b**ch, that's how my hair should look." Really happy for you. Glad everything worked out.

Yes I styled it this way :punk: I had 2500 grafts.

Cheers guys, I am happy with the result, my cousins says I look 10 years younger which was the biggest confidence boost ever, I just hope the propecia delays any further hairloss.

I will try to do some hairline, scar and outdoor shots soon, and also when wet, my hair is quite thin and it really shows when wet.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, the hardest part of having hair transplant is the uncertainty and the months during the doldrums, this was also my worst year in my whole life but for other personal reasons and these forums helped me realise I wasn't the only one with problems, Cheers guys! :agree:

definitely will do,so far the big three are taking care of my crown and mid section and id say a few more months for the foam to really do its stuff and i'll be ready for a top Doctor to do my temples and hairline. :)

How could I have missed this thread?

Lucky, your hair looks awesome! I agree in that your hairline filled in makes you look like you don't even have male pattern baldness. And listen, I have been on finasteride going on 12 years now and it's still working efficient for me. I wish you the best with the meds too.

Anyway, do you think you could put up a before pic along with your 12 month progress?

Hi Gill, Thanks very much for your positive comments :)

It's reassuring to know that finasteride has worked so well for so long with you, for every positive comment I read there always seems to be a dozen negative ones and i hope its worth the risk.

Heres a comparison
