shyguy, thanks for the informative post. I too have diffused thinning all over my head and lost 1/3 my outer eyebrow over the last few years. hairs that grow thinner as they lead towards the bulb set off some alarms when i saw them. my physical state is similar to yours, <5% body fat and having way too many night combat missions incurring a sleep debt that i never recovered over time. just before my last male pattern baldness progression i noticed my nails break on just about every surface.

while the docs i saw told me my thyroid levels are ok and im just worrying too much, I'm gonna schedule my cortisol checks earlier now. better safe than sorry.

If you are gonna have blood work done and you think you do have thyroid or adrenal issues then ask for the following:

Testosterone- free and serum
DHT
DHEA-s
Estradiol
IGF-1
ferritin
TSH
Free t4
Free t3

saliva cortisol x 4 test
