Just a quick question. This may have been answered before in this forum. I was wondering if my current hair loss will be at the same rate as my family members. I have male pattern baldness on both sides. My Father was a NW4 by 30 and both his brother and my Grandfather were the same. On my Mothers side my Uncle was a NW3V by 30. All of my cousins are NW3V's and they are all in their 30's now.

No, your hair loss does not necessarily have to follow your family's hair loss pattern. For instance my father, who is 49, has no hair loss. Yet I at age 20, I am losing my hair at a fast rate.

....?

I'd be willing to bet some cash that you have a balding relative somewhere on your mother or father's side. By only listing your father's situation you've just ignored the rest of your family. If you said that it doesn't necessarily follow your FATHER's pattern then your post would be accurate.

But if your mom's grandpa(your great grandfather) had hair loss, you could get it too. It's less likely the less balding relatives you have, but all it takes is one somewhere back there.

Looking at male relatives is a good guide to what you can expect but by no means a definative guide for what you will get.
