Mature Hairline Or Should I Be Worried?

Hi!
I'm looking for some opinions about my hairline, whether or not you think I'm having male pattern baldness.
I've always had a big forehead and high hairline, ever since I was a kid. I had slight recession when I was around 18 or something I think. Maybe just loosing my juvenile hairline.

Only my mother's dad is bald in my family, however his hair was curly and also black. My hair is straight and blonde much like my father's. Looking at my father's hairline it looks quite similar to mine, just that I have a bigger forehead. Also my hair is plenty thick and grows as quick as ever. Of course I notice some shedding when I shower, like at most a few hairs, normal I suppose?

Please take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think.

Pictures with the yellow flower shirt is from now, I'm 23. Grey shirt on the beach is 4 years ago. Thick jacket 9 years ago I think

Hard to say because you are blonde ( makes thinning harder to see ) but it does look like your hairline is receding. Any male can get male pattern baldness, even if nobody in your family has it.

EDIT: Sorry I just noticed you said the beach one was 4 years ago.. From what I can see your hairline has receded but it may not be receding right now. Your hair could potentially stay this way for many more years.

True but look at his pic at the beach, his hairline looks just the same. Apparently that was 4 years ago.

oh, I didn't know that. Maybe he has stabilized for 4 years but surely he should do something about it?

If his hairline has stopped receding for now then why would you? Treatments might cause his balding to resume.

You mean maybe I should take some preventative measure to be more safe it won't recede more in the future?

I do agree, but would you classify this as hair loss or just a mature hairline? My hairline has basically stayed like this for more then 4 years

Its definitely gone too far back to be a mature hairline but if that picture really was 4 years ago your balding has seemed to stop. For how long nobody can say.. If I were you I would keep monitoring your hairline and if you think its getting worse then start finasteride.
