measure your DHT levels

has anyone had a blood test to find out their DHT levels? mine were beyond the normal scope.

i'm just wondering if anyone has had their DHT levels checked. I thought this would have been a big deal since a lot of you guys are trying to get DHT levels really low with finasteride or dutasteride. Don't you want to know if it's helping?

I would guess that no one responded because there is little interest...
we all assume that if we are growing hair that DHT must be low.

I've thought about getting a test. I've used DirectLabs before to do other tests:

The cost for a DHT test is $90 bucks.

I've only been on finasteride for about 3 months but I plan to lower my finasteride dosage after I see maximum
results and would probably experiment with doages and check my DHT levels then.

Right now I'm taking 1.25mg and have great results so I'm confident my DHT is
fairly low.

fair enough... but not everyone is having great results...there are enough people that are having poor results. I just wonder why no one would at least go check to see if their drugs are working.?

incredible... you guys are more interested in prince harry than to know about what effect propecia and such are having on your hormones.

you guys are so crazy about your drugs on this site... i'm not trying to offend or say that propecia doesn't work. I am just asking if anyone has had their blood levels checked, wouldn't you like to know how low your DHT levels are?... i'm not asking 'don't you think that propecia is a scam?"

I had my DHT checked after being on dutasteride for 3 years and it was very low indeed, so at least I know its working in that regard.

Maybe there isn't more interest in blood tests because people can see the results of treatment on their head. If you are maintaining I suppose you will carry on with whatever regime you are on regardless of your DHT level from a blood test and vice versa.
