Hi,

I'm curious about the long term effectiveness of Finasteride, thus I made this poll.

Thank You for your participation.

I swear its a hoax. I got unopenned prescription of finasteride and i dont even know if I should take it. I was skeptic about minoxidil thats why i only use it on one tenple.

Really? Only one person in the entire forum has taken Finasteride for 10 years or more?
those people probably dont come to this forum because theyre not worried about there hair anymore

I'm on 5 years taking it and My hair is still the same as when I started it. No norwood changes.

That makes sense, although I think I have seen quite a few posts and comments by users claiming to have used it for that period of time, so I thought the poll would get a lot more votes.

On a second thought, the "went completely bald" option probably will be underrepresented. Not because there are few men who have lost all their hair despite taking Finasteride, which I don't know (and am trying to find by creating this poll), but because I struggle to find why would these men use this kind of forums in the first place. I mean, as far as I know there is nothing they would be able to do at this stage. Offering advice and guidance to those who haven't lost it yet, maybe?

Regrowth for 7 months then back on heavy decline is my experience

I guess the hair loss industry is still in it's infancy. It seems like the drugs that are currently available are far from guaranteeing us that we will keep our hair in the long term. On top of that they may come with significant side effects for many people. I'm not convinced that only 2-3% of Finasteride users get side effects, I have read that one study found 90+% suffer them, and many other have also found much higher rates than 2-3%.

Yup, a lot of people lying about sides are coping hard. Just watched a bodybuilder on YT say he doesn't get sides then 2 weeks later he says he is trying to get more healthy and quit p**rn to negate sides o_O.
