So recently I've been stepping up my game by adding dutasteride to my regimen. I now want to add a strong minoxidil formula as well. Minoxidil max sells dual-gen 15, Murray Avenue pharmacy sells a 30% minoxidil CREAM. Has anyone tried the products from either of these places? If so, for how long and what were your results? Do you think it's more effective than the standard 5%?

I really need some answers guys. Surely there are a few people out there who dabbled with either one?

Also, Does anyone know of a way where I could test to see if the minoxidil concentration I have is the legit 15% or 30% that the bottle claims? I don't want to be scammed and it's just the normal 5% scammed and it may be 5%

So, 5% is going to be enough. The higher percentages are going to add diminishing returns (so 30% may not be any better than 15% and 15% may not be much better than 5%). It is all about delivery to the follicles and how long the ingredient stays in the follicles. 5% is ENOUGH of the ingredient to get the job done.

To my knowledge there are no real studies comparing these high %s.

It seems the makers of Rogaine, when making their foam, tried perfecting their delivery system making the Minoxidil 1)absorb better and 2) stay in the follicles longer. I have noticed shedding when switching from the liquid to the foam on my sides of my head where I do not apply the foam to suggest this is probably true, others have reported such after switching to the foam (increased initial shedding even after having used the liquid for a while).

The biggest mistake is to start switching things all the time. You are already taking duasteride. You need to just be patient and look at your hair every 3 months.

Even if it works just slightly better than 5%, it's worth it for me. I'm simply asking how would I be able to send it to a "lab" or any other place to make sure the concentration is as stated?

I think i have to respond here as well (I agree 100 % with Retinoid). I' ve used several brands of minoxidil even 15 % over the past years and realised that it was not better. My advice is to stick to 5 %.

I don't think theres any evidence that a 15 or 30% minoxidil would be any more effective than 5%. There reaches a point in which the minoxidil is too concentrated to be absorbed by the scalp, you'll end up with sticky goop or crystals on your head in the morning.

30% is just a marketing gimmick.

Where did you get your 15% from? After 9 months did your hair improve from it? What percentage of minoxidil are you on currently?
Minoximax or something.
Go back to 5%

Regaine, Rogaine, Polaris Labs, 3 different Dualgen, Lipogaine, 2 different Folligain and the list goes on. I'm back to the foam now for two reasons. First, my scalp changed over time and it's not that oily anymore and reacts often with dandruff when using liquid minoxidil. Second, the foam dries quicker and the main thing: Less product residues.

I seemed to have had a different experience with 15% than others. I remember it was working very well for me, better than 5%. It was working fast too. But then the person who was making it got shut down so I stopped using it and went back to the inferior 5%.
