If you are scared from finasteride why are you looking for 15% minoxidil. They act in a different way. One cannot substitute another. :dunno:

use with caution - and i wouldn't reccommend it for frontal recceeding hairlines as it will literally obliterate it, yes you'll gain some new hairs but it will cause more damage to seemingly healthy hairs. causing accelerated thinning, my advice is try adding spironolactone to your routine if your scared of finasteride, as it does the same job if applied topically.

LOL this is a ridiculous comment. Where is your proof? Show me some studies?

I bet you will just say this is what happened to *me*. Unfortunately *your* experience doesnt constitute fact, so dont talk like it does.

minoxidil will help recruit new hairs. But it wont stop the underlying balding condition which needs to be remedied by reducing androgen stimulus at the hair follicle. Best to use both at the same time.

Search the internet itss popping up on quite a few discussion forums now? read reviews left on amazon? These are REAL people that have not benefitted from it. And yes my own expierence with it. their are a hell of alot of people that have expierenced that the 15% is simply NOT EFFECTIVE and causes MORE thinning , reported numerous times from a varity of different sources,

And blaze its ''ridiculous'' for you just to discredit my advice like that, At the end of the day it doesn't matter if this guy listens or not. i thought i'd just offer some caution if anyone were to buy a 15% soution without knowing that it could make things worse...

I personally brought the 15 after i thought the 5% solution effects were wearing thin...

when i used it twice everyday, hairfall continued asif i wasn't using minoxidil at all (sometimes at an increased rate) i've gone back to kirklands minoxidil for now and have made slight improvement, as for my hairline i've heard good things about spectral dnc which i'm going to try soon.

My advice is do the research, then make your own mind up.

Wow I totally agree with lee123 with 15% destroying the hairline. I've been on it (once a day) for about 10 months and I lost a majority of my healthy hairline hairs. I have been staying on it for so long because I keep waiting for an improvement, but I think I'm done.

So lee123, when you switched back to 5% did your hairline improve? did you try spectral yet?

PS: I'm also on finasteride, foam on vertex, and nizoral.

Yeah but then again a lot of people state it has worked for them with no problems.

So who to believe? Just gotta use your best judgement but don't make absolute claims either way.
