Minoxidil 5% Liquid for sides of scalp...

Thank you for the thought-provoking one word response...Let me add to my initial post. I've switched from foam to liquid over the past month, and started to notice vellus hair growth on......wait for it.....the sides of my scalp. And, if it can work for the temples, vertex, and crown, why couldn't it theoretically also work for the sides of the scalp. Loss on the sides of the scalp are essentially an extension of loss at the temples anyway. What I'm really looking for I guess, is any anecdotal evidence of minoxidil 5% liquid users also experiencing regrowth on the sides of the scalp.

I don't use minoxidil but I know that minoxidil is only used in case of male pattern baldness and hairs of the sides of scalp are unafected by male pattern baldness.
Be careful because minoxidil alter the natural hair cycle of growth. Dp ypu have loss of hair in the sides?

Thank you for that info. It's actually just the front edge of the sides, in line with the side burns. I was on the foam, and felt like I was losing ground, so I've gradually switched to using just the liquid over the past month. I'm noticing vellus growth all over my slightly receded (NW2) hairline. I'm excited about it, but just want to be sure I'm not staring at something and thinking it's going to grow, when it's been proven to be impossible. I do think that I've read testimonials on this site by people indicating they've had success with minoxidil and temple regrowth and additionally with regrowth down the front edge of the sides of their scalp, but I could have imagined that, too :dunno:
But anyway, I'll keep you updated, and thanks again!

Minoxidil has a hypertrichotic effect wherevever you apply it.
The rogaine studies for FDA approval only tested certain parts of the scalp and therefore can only state that it works there. But rogaine(minoxidil) works wherever you apply it(if your a responder to treatment obviously).
So apply it wherever you want thicker or more hair, or wherever you have loss. Rogaine isnt meant for the hairline according to the manual, but it definitely works there too.
