minoxidil 5% once a day vs Shedding

Hi!

Just one short question. I just started minoxidil 5% once a day. Do I have to expect a shed for sure??? Has everybody shed on that regiment???

For me, the answer is yes. Expect some initial shedding that probably lasts a couple of weeks. I started 5% minoxidil 6 years ago but eventually switched to 2% because of the intense itching. The 2% actually worked better because it irritated my scalp much less.

Only a couple of weeks you say? how much hair did you shed? Did it look like someone had snook in and cut your hair to leave hair all over you pillow in a morning, or was it just a few more hairs than usual on your daily hair fall?
