Minoxidil amount question

A week ago I started using minoxidil once per night.
I've been using about 3 ml per application to cover my whole scalp (I am a diffuse thinner).
Is this too much minoxidil?

Also, I sometimes apply minoxidil to the sides of my head, on the border between the thin top and the thick sides of my head.
But I dont want the minoxidil affecting any 'normal' hair, so should I make sure that the minoxidil doesnt touch the sides of my head (with the normal hair)?

Thanks in advance for any reply.

3 ml is not an outrageous amount to use, but I think you could spread it a bit more and get it down to 2ml. Remember that with minoxidil, you do not need total coverage to get the benefits, the chemical does disseminate in the underlying layers of the skin, which is why many minoxidil users start to notice longer eyebrow hairs and faster growing beards. For me, I dont have the facial symptoms, but it really has done a number on the hair on the back of my neck, I gotta shave those fuckers down myself in between haircuts to keep clean. So, try to get down to 2ml, and for a diffuse thinner, I think you COULD do good coverage witn 1.5ml. That would cut your monthly regimen cost in half. If you caught my "Weekly Discounts" posting I made for this week, halving your regimen cost would save you enough money to buy 2 12 packs of Sierra Nevada, or 2 18 packs of Tecate, or 2 20 packs of Bud. Get the picture?

All the best,

Thanks for the replies folks.
Gardner, I agree with what you say.
I will cut it to 2 ml, and not worry about covering every centimeter of my scalp.
