Hey people,

I recently went on a program that consisted of 2ml of 7% minoxidil (w 0.01% Retinoic acid) and 1.25mg finasteride per day over an 8 month period. The program also included laser treatments and scalp massage and their own shampoos etc. Now this program has a 100% money back guarantee that you will regrow hair by the 8th month which I did! The result were actual very positive. But since then I've steadily started to shed for the last 6 months. I'm still taking the finasteride and using the minoxidil/retinoic solution as before. The only change since I finished the program was stopping the laser treatments and massage.

Is it common for the finasteride and minoxidil combination to only be effective in the short term?

P.S. Yes I did pay too much for the program.

Just by the title of this thread I must say you need to educate yourself man. Start reading the forums a lot more. I can't type up everything here but I will say they don't ever stop working, not ever. Minoxidil doesn't lose it's effectiveness and neither does finasteride.

DHT, however DOES get more aggressive. And if you are not using a DHT inhibitor minoxidil will SEEM to loose it's effectiveness since your hair follicles are still being attacked by DHT.

Of course the treatments work different for everyone. Some have very aggressive hair loss.
