I have been using minoxidil for 7 months now (with Nizoral) and it's working well, alot of regrowth but I have a question. There are like thousund hairs that I see coming now, but they are finer than the other hairs and don't grow as long. Will these hairs grow in to full size hairs in the next cycles or is that as good as it gets? Didn't some one say that the peek was at 4 months? I am on month 7, so isn't it possible I won't get better than this and that the small hairs that are growing all over will much rather fall off later than get bigger with use? Pls help.

I really don't know if those fine hairs will become thick like normal hair. I do know that minoxidil has it's maximum effect after one or two years. Not after four months.

You need to stick with it for much longer than 4 months.

If you're lucky some hairs will become terminal (proper) hairs, some will likely stay as peach fuzz.

i think that was the point they were making bro, a hair cycle lasts (i think?) about 3-4 months, hair won't go from end of the line to perfect in one cycle. stick with it for a year and hopefully all the fluffy stuff you have now will have turned into long thick hair :)

There are people out there that do respond to minoxidil extremelly well and gain more than just velous hair (terminal hair), but this is a small minority of people.

Most people just regrow peach fuzz or velous hair. Minoxidil is better for maintaining than regrowing. It will thicken existing hairs and give you some regrowth where hair has not long dissapeared. However this is only when used stand alone. Minoxidil does a lot more when combined with other drugs such as propecia and is said to be very effective in treating hairloss.

A fair few people are reporting success with using Miconazole to thicken up thin minoxidil grown hair. Might be worth looking into.
