I never felt any burning with minoxidil, maybe a slight tingle that's all.

thanks for reply guys,

will slowly increasing the amount help, i mean so my scalp and system get used to this drug, ie. 0.25 ml at first??

its a shame really, it only takes seconds to put on, although side effects are rather unpleasent

has anybody had the same effect and overcome this? do you think the burning will ware off after say a month because if not i thing i would be happy to be balding instead!!

after about 4 hours today the only thing that helped was to wash everything off, could i get away with washing my hair or lack of it after an hour or so?

one other thing that is bugging me if i put it on in the morning and say half an hour later you put your hand across you head, lets say in habit or someone else does if this gets into the mouth obviously in a small amount isent this stuff poison?? does it have a toxic time period until it is absorbed?

i have just got nizarol shampoo from boots will this help in anyway or make things worse.

thanks again for any advice

The first time I used minoxidil I was at the beach - and my head was probably a little red from the sun. The minoxidil stung like hell - but only the first time I applied it.

If you scalp is sunburnt or irritated - make sure those conditions clear up prior to adding anything w/ an alcohol base - as it will sting.

It tingles a bit for me and makes my head itchy... i now only apply it literally in front of my hailine as a test for the next4-6 months... if it does nothing there i'll give it the arse...
