Gentlemen...Dr Lee is on this and has taken instant action.

**************************************************

Cassin,

Although the design of our web site purposely does not allow for the saving of credit card or personal information, we are taking your email information very seriously. Your allegation of credit card fraud has been turned over to the investigation of by our web administrator, who is investigating how hackers might have obtained this information. Meanwhile, the username and password to the back-end area of our website (www.minoxidil.com) has been changed, which should solve the problem.

Please advise if you will allow me to give him your email address if he has any questions.

Thank you for your support in this matter. I would also greatly appreciate it, if you would post my comments to your viewtopic.php?f=42&t=58562&st=0&sk=t&sd=a.

Best Wishes,

Richard Lee, M.D.

I noticed on his site the during checkout his website security is not right. It states (at least in Firefox) that the site "contains unauthenticated content".

Sucks because I did like his minoxidil, but looks like I need to find a different place.

Has anyone done an order over the phone and had problems?

get the paypal plug-ing for firefox and generate a one time credit card transaction until minoxidil.com gets their security issued sorted.

Paypal has discontinued the virtual CC.

Ok this is scary because I got hit about a month ago for 3 charges and I have always wondered how they got my info. And now looking at Dr Lee my card got scammed about 2 weeks after my order.

So the fraud happened 03/20/10 and my minoxidil.com order was 03/09/10

Holly $hit those are the exact two same charges form Valve that I have as well.

Man this really pisses me off now

Call Valve and leave them a voice mail with your card # and phone #. Someone will call you back and it will be refunded. They were very responsive.

Made an order from Dr Lee 2 weeks ago.

As of yet, no unauthorised charges. I am worried though now.

Wow, I think I am a hapless victim as well; this is the only site that I have divulged my credit card info to, I was very leery about ordering stuff online initially anyway. Well my wife went to my ATM last week and saw that I only had $ 4 in my checking account :sobbing: ! Apparently someone had flew to Dublin, Ireland and stayed @ some hotels, really messed me up, we're not talking about chump change here, they really got me good.....

that doesn't follow the pattern here tho....the only connection so far with us is the guys making several small purchases online.

Just to be safe you might want to contact your bank and let them know that one of the sites you order from appears to of been hacked especially notify them of the most common attempted charge from Valve for $49.99 which I had two charges last month and one this month now that Ive gone over my statements. Each happening 2-3 days after my regrowth monthly order.

This way it will be notated on your account just in the off chance.

Im not going to stop using Dr Lee's products by any means but I will be placing all future orders over the phone moving forward.

I don't necessarily think that a pattern has been established, or has to be the same with everybody. If somebody has your credit card information, they can sell it to anybody or use it for anything. My first fraudulent transaction was in Texas, and my second was in London. Both were multiple transactions from Itunes and elsewhere.

I have never been impressed with quality of minoxidil.com. The website seems very low quality (unlike the products). It gets the job done, but I am not surprised that there are security issues. I hope Dr. Lee will accept Paypal in the future.

Does anybody have an update? He sent me a short email along with a forward of Cassin's email and his response. But I am going to wait until I hear from him again until I order more products. I am not ready to go through 3 debit cards in 1 month's time.

Yea the website is pretty bland and lack luster especially with ordering but he has a point to collect the info before charging as some ppl would order without actually having previously filled out the consultation. Which would be and issue if the customer lived in the USA with his licensing.

Im hopping he sets up a members log in to alleviate that issue in the future and paypal or hell even google check out would be great.

I agree, he needs to ramp up the website. (At least allow Paypal.)

One of the charges on my account was a Transfer to EB GAMES AUSTRALIA Very random.

I spoke to Dr Lee he said the site is fixed so its safe to use again.

I was also offered a discount on my next order as I was one of the victims of the credit card ripoffs.

If you were a victim of fraud then you might want to communicate with them if you haven't already
