minoxidil Everyday?

Hi guys,

Is it essential to apply minoxidil every day? I'm using a 12% solution which I was advised to use once daily but I find it makes my hair very greasy and have cut down to 4/5 applications a week. So my question is, will I lose any potential benefits by not applying daily, should I bite the bullet and suffer greasy hair every day? I should state that I am 6 weeks in to using this medication which I use in conjunction with 1mg of propecia which I take daily.

Sorry to highjack your post, but I had a similar question. I was planning on getting on Rogaine foam, but I wasnt sure if it would hurt to miss any application or two per week. Being in college, Im not on a set sleep schedule, therefore, I probably couldnt apply it every morning or every night for the most part. Could this result in any negative effects?

Heres what I do...

I apply the foam in the morning and the liquid at night. Often times I do both, but many times I will only do one or the other. So far it has been a lot cheaper alternating between the two. As for using it just once a day a forgetting to take it now and then, probably no problem.

Then again I haven't seen any results, but I am only on month four.
