minoxidil frustration! (irritation)

i was on liquid minoxidil too for 8 months. All was well actually. All of sudden flaking and irratiation. The inflammation made me actually lose hair.

Rogain foam doesnt itch at all.
Spectral DNC actually soothes and heals the scalp. But with all the versions out there.....

Even when healed i couldnt handle Rogaine Liquid 1x a day for 2 weeks. I do 1 foam and 1 DNC.

So do foam or DNC and you will be fine. No reason to quit minoxidil. Thats not the problem

Sounds like there are some good suggestions here. Good luck OP. I know I've had my problems with scalp irritation.

On that note: I actually just ceased minoxidil after using it for 1.5 years, and my scalp has never felt better. I used Dr. Lee's Xandrox 5% for the longest time, which caused intermittent itching and irritation. Since stopping (5 days ago), my scalp never itches and my shedding just about stopped completely. I'm... at sort of a loss. Did I just waste all that money, or is it just temporary relief? My hair hasn't really changed in the past couple years so I'm not sure what to think. Always assumed that Xandrox was maintaining or giving a marginal benefit since my hairloss isn't that bad yet.
