I was using minoxidil for around 3/4 months, but i was getting a bloated face etc so decided to stop. I have noticed that it has thinned my crown quite significantly, i have long hair and was able to hide my bald spots, not perfect but not really noticeable, now it's very hard to do so. Here is a pic of my hair before starting minoxidil, i will try to get a pic up of my hair currently later https://i.imgur.com/lCGB1qP.jpg .Im also taking finasteride, can i expect after a shed for my hair to return to baseline? 6 months or so? Really regretting starting minoxidil now, wish i had just taken finasteride instead.

i saw this thread that gives me hope https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/intera...mazing-regrowth-after-7-months-without.95059/

here is an updated pic, my hair is longer https://i.imgur.com/foWA4wi.jpg

Shameless bump. Im hearing horror stories of even once healthy hairs becoming minoxidil dependent and shedding and not growing back. Is this true? Found a graph, also found one of Bryans old posts and said it should return to baseline, so im not to bothered now about it.

For me I have suffered through a horrendous shed over the past month-month and a half, almost unsure why I am not completely bald because literally a bunch of hair, even from the back and sides, have been pouring out-bathroom is covered in hair, pillow is, any time I put my hand on my had I have at least a couple of strands on my hand. However, oddly the crown looks a lot better. So even though the shed is occurring and you may be losing density overall in non balding areas, does not mean you are not filling in where you need to.
