i been on finasteride/nizoral for 3-4 years now and recently added needling to my regimen. I would also like to add minoxidil to my regimen but it seems like a pain the *** to apply,

Can any long time users of min tell me how important concistency is? If i know myself right i can usally use it at least once a day, sometimes two. Other times i wont be able to use it for a day or two.

Will that be a problem? I dont want to mess up my hair further just because inconcistency. I understand this will probably vary from person to person, but i would like to hear any opinions on the matter.

I've been using minoxidil for over a year now (Rogaine 5% foam). I've been highly consistent with applying twice a day.

Believe it or not, applying minoxidil twice daily is actually easier and more convenient than applying once a day.

The key is to not let applications go further apart than 23 hours or closer than 6. If you're applying twice a day, you never have to be concerned about maintaining a schedule. As long as one application is in the AM and the other is in the PM you should be alright. Also it won't be a big deal if you miss one of the two daily applications.

While going over 23 hours on rare occasion isn't a big deal, if it happens consistently, it is likely minoxidil is not a good fit for you.

I'm like you and didn't like the idea of having to apply it every single day, so I went with oral minoxidil instead. Higher chance of sides ( which I have none besides occasional dark eyes ) so I wouldn't jump into it without thorough research. I am having good results, but the sheds I've had have been horrific.
